What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday
All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to my selections below, you can also catch Jean-Claude Van Damme in JCVD on DVD.
Orlando and Mark Share Their Sympathies
Orlando Bloom was back on the set of Sympathy For Delicious in LA yesterday and this time he had a fake tattoo and some nail polish to go with his longer locks. Mark Ruffalo, who is the director as well as a star of the film, has spared himself from too much time in the hair and makeup trailer yet. The story is about a paralyzed DJ who develops an ability to heal people, and hopefully this project will help Mark move on beyond the tragic death of his brother.
Orlando Debuts a New Shaggy 'Do
Orlando Bloom showed off a new look on the LA set of Sympathy for Delicious yesterday. He seemed a bit wary to show everyone his wig — and rightfully so since it's not quite his hottest look. Also on set was the film's director, Mark Ruffalo, who is now focusing on his work since his brother's tragic death last month.

In the February issue of Domino, Sunrise Ruffalo, wife of actor Mark Ruffalo, shows off the bright and eclectic home the couple shares with their three young children, son Keen, and daughters Bella Noche and Odette. - Kate Winslet has earned two more acting nominations for her work in Revolutionary Road and The Reader, this time in the Screen Actors Guild awards. Danny Boyle's movie Slumdog Millionaire, starring Skins actor Dev Patel is up for Best Ensemble. — BBC
- Every previous Doctor Who will appear in this year's Christmas special alongside current Doctor David Tennant, including Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Patrick Troughton and Peter Davison.
Sugar Bits — Jeremy Piven Drops Out of Speed the Plow
- Jeremy Piven left his Broadway show Speed the Plow, which he once called "the role of a lifetime", because he said he was sick with a high mercury count. David Mamet joked he's leaving to "pursue a career as a thermometer." — Variety
- Police authorities investigating Scott Ruffalo's death ruled it a homicide yesterday, despite a witness who claimed he died while playing Russian roulette with himself.
Sugar Bits — Usher Welcomes His Second Son
- Usher and his wife Tameka gave birth to baby boy yesterday, making it the couple's second son together after Usher Raymond V, who recently had his first birthday. His name hasn't been released yet. — People
- Macaulay Culkin's sister Dakota died yesterday after she was hit by a car when crossing the street in LA on Tuesday and treated at UCLA Medical Center.
Sugar Bits — Ricky Martin Shows Off His Baby Twins
- Ricky Martin debuted the first photo of his twin boys this week and talked about their personalities and how he is raising them without a nanny. — People
- The suspect in the case of Mark Ruffalo's brother's death has been cleared after stating that Scott shot himself in the head while playing Russian roulette. Mark's family released a statement saying they appreciate the support and have set up a memorial fund in Scott's name.
Sugar Bits — Lil Wayne Leads Grammy Nominations
- Lil' Wayne has been nominated for eight Grammy awards, and Coldplay have earned seven nominations. Kanye West, Ne-Yo and Jay-Z have also all been nominated in six categories. Adele, M.I.A.
