If you're looking for a likable summer film that has a comfortingly predictable plot but a load of music and dance sequences, then you can't go far wrong with Make It Happen.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays Lauryn, a girl from a small town with a big dream; to leave her bookkeeping role at her late parents' garage and enroll at the Chicago School of Music and Dance. After she fails her audition — because she isn't in touch enough with her emotions — she gets lucky by meeting Dana, who gets her a back-office job in burlesque club Ruby's.

Here at Sugar UK HQ we're always excited to chat with the stars, and we got the opportunity this week to speak with the lovely Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The American actress has starred in Death Proof and Die Hard 4.0 and plays the lead in Make It Happen, a film about following your dancing dreams, from the same writer who penned Save the Last Dance and Step Up. You can check out the trailer for the movie, which hits our screens on 8 August, and check back next week for my review.

Tara Reid wasn't the only one looking fabulous at the premiere of Black Christmas this week. The movie's stars Michelle Trachtenberg, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Katie Cassidy looked lovely as they walked down the red carpet at Mann's Chinese Theater in LA. Black Christmas is a remake of the 1974 film that tells the story of 6 sorority girls who celebrate the holidays together and quickly turns into a terror flick.

The X Files: I Want To Believe premiered in London's Leicester Square last night, with the lovely and rather pregnant Gillian Anderson saying it was a bigger turnout than the LA premiere. She also said that they were on board for another movie if this one does well, and said this film is more of a "particular creepy story", which also develops Mulder and Scully's relationship rather than an all-out special effects blockbuster like the movie that's overshadowing everything at the moment: The Dark Knight.
Other stars in attendance included Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd from McFly who are still looking a little tanned after our jaunt to T4 On The Beach, Sam and Amanda Marchant, Chanelle Hayes and a very demure looking Mary Elizabeth Winstead who I have an exclusive interview with for you later on today!

Americans dominate the top spots in FHM UK's 100 Sexiest Women in the World list, but three Brits made it in to the top ten — glamour model Keeley Hazell, Cheryl Cole and Keira Knightley — with Kate Beckinsale and Gemma Atkinson in the top 20.
Just-turned-18 Emma Watson is at number 33 and newly-single Kelly Brook is at 34. I'm particularly pleased to see property guru Kirstie Allsopp make her debut in the list at number 91, ahead of Kylie Minogue and Victoria Beckham!

After a quick stop by Fashion Week in NYC, Fergie was back in musical mode at the 4th Annual Peapod Foundation Benefit Concert in LA yesterday. She and John Legend got to practice their big Grammy duet, and Fergie also got to spend some time with her fellow Black Eyed Peas. The outgoing pop star always has plenty to say for herself, and in a recent interview she talked about everything from her man to Josh to her music to addressing those pregnancy rumors.

Sarah Silverman may grace the cover of Maxim's Hot 100 issue, but it's our Lindsay Lohan who grabbed the #1 spot from two time champion Eva Longoria. Unforch, Linds herself couldn't actually pose for the magazine, but Sarah was happy to oblige. It's a big month for Miss Silverman, what her big hosting gig at the MTV Movie Awards being less than a month away.
