It looks like pregnancy is suiting Melanie Chisholm, as Sporty Spice positively glowed at a Celebration of the Bee Gees in London over the weekend. Heavily pregnant Mel has said she wants to keep the baby's sex a surprise, but she has decided on where to give birth, saying: "I want to give birth in hospital, rather than at home, just in case something goes wrong - especially as it's my first". With a wedding to plan too, Mel's going to have a very busy, and happy, Spring.

Melanie Chisholm and new daughter Scarlet enjoyed the sunshine in London yesterday. Mel has got back in shape since giving birth in February by hiring a personal trainer, which has surprised Mel B, who said: "I read about Mel C's post-baby fitness regime and thought, 'Good on her!' I was surprised she has a trainer though, because she's always been so good at doing her own workouts and training - she is Sporty Spice after all."

Congratulations are in order for Mel C and her man Thomas Starr who welcomed their new baby Scarlet into the world on Sunday afternoon!
Mel C gave birth to the 8lb 3oz bundle of joy at 4.10pm yesterday, and in a statement on her website she says that both mum and baby are doing well! Thomas and Mel have been together for six years, and Scarlet is their first child, but Mel's had plenty of experience with children as she's the last of the Spice Girls to become a mother.
