Sienna Miller's smile stretched from ear to ear at the ShoWest awards in Las Vegas, where she won the supporting actress of the year award and posed alongside fellow Brit Michael Caine who was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award. Still looking tanned after her holiday, Sienna also reportedly visited Josh Hartnett in hospital as he recovered after some excruciating stomach pains. James McAvoy was honoured with the Film Award at the Variety Club's 56th Annual Showbusiness Awards in London last night, for his performances in movies like Atonement, The Last King of Scotland and Wanted. The accolades just keep on coming for James, who attended the ceremony with wife Anne-Marie Duff: not only is he to receive a Fellowship from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow next month (his old drama school), he's also nominated for Best European Actor for Atonement at this year's European Film Awards. As if that all that isn't enough, James will be walking the boards early next year alongside Nigel Harman in Three Days of Rain at London's Apollo Theatre.

If you haven't already booked your tickets for this week's UK opening of The Dark Knight then I urge you to do so, because I'm going to add my voice to the chorus shouting that this film is something special. Just so you know my stance on these movies, I didn't think that Batman Begins was anything more than a competent film, and – though the trailers for this one were fantastic – with the running time at over two and a half hours I was worried it would be patchy. It wasn't.
