Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year gathered at Carnegie Hall in New York City yesterday to celebrate each other's successes. Rihanna and Stella McCartney were amongst those honoured, and were joined by Estelle, who performed on stage. Michael Douglas joined him, all decked out to reprise his role as Gordon Gekko — hopefully we'll get a glimpse of what kind of updated cell phone he'll be carrying this time around. Leighton Meester spent some time away from the Gossip Girl set yesterday, taking in some shows and catching up with friends at New York Fashion Week. She spent some fun time giggling with Olivia Thirlby in Bryant Park, before changing her style and adding some red lipstick to attend the Proenza Schouler show. Peaches Geldof was at Anna Sui, while Michael Douglas was spotted at Narciso Rodriguez, and the Gucci event was attended by Mark Ronson, Estelle and Mary J Blige to name a few.

The Fashion Week glamour is moving right along, with more star-studded front rows. Lauren Conrad switched gears from working on her own collection to see Nanette Lepore this afternoon, while Leighton Meester stepped out for 3.1 Phillip Lim. Mary-Kate Olsen, meanwhile, was on hand last night for the latest of Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld's art parties, helping when someone fainted while Rachel Zoe kept an eye on Brad Goreski on the dance floor.
Damon and Douglas to Play Lovers in Liberace Movie
Bet you never thought you'd see Matt Damon and Michael Douglas coupled up on-screen, but get ready. Steven Soderbergh has confirmed that Douglas will play Liberace in his upcoming film about the life and death of the popular 1950s performer. Damon is taking on the role of Scott Thorsen, Liberace's assistant and boyfriend who eventually revealed Liberace's sexuality to the public.
