Leighton Meester Laughs It Up At New York Fashion Week
Leighton Meester spent some time away from the Gossip Girl set yesterday, taking in some shows and catching up with friends at New York Fashion Week. She spent some fun time giggling with Olivia Thirlby in Bryant Park, before changing her style and adding some red lipstick to attend the Proenza Schouler show. Peaches Geldof was at Anna Sui, while Michael Douglas was spotted at Narciso Rodriguez, and the Gucci event was attended by Mark Ronson, Estelle and Mary J Blige to name a few.

The MTV VMAs was a party in itself, but when the show ended all the celebs spread out around town to keep the good times and red carpet highlights rolling. Mickey Rourke took a stroll with his traveling chihuahua Jaws in New York's West Village earlier this week, and was seen leading his pooch with a very purple and very leopard-spotted leash. I knew Mickey was into fashion, but who knew this guy was such a trendsetter?
Sure, purple leashes have been around the block a few times already, but this pattern looks veeery similar to a Louis Vuitton scarf that I've seen around town.

Rihanna and Neve Join Diane in UK For Inglourious Basterds
Diane Kruger and Quentin Tarantino brought Inglourious Basterds to London yesterday for the UK premiere at Leicester Square. Quentin was full of praise for Diane, saying she was wonderful to work with. Last night's premiere didn't quite match the star-studded affair of the premiere at Cannes Film Festival, and I was sad that Joshua Jackson didn't attend, but excitement was provided by Rihanna, who wore an attention-grabbing outfit.

I said it in my list of must haves for April and I'll say it again: In addition to being a touching film with an astounding performance by Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler is one of those rare movies that a diverse group of adults can agree to see together.
