Following her tragic death earlier this week, an autopsy has revealed that Natasha Richardson died of epidural haematoma caused by a blunt impact to the head. A statement from the New York City medical examiner's office said that her death had been ruled an accident. Meryl Streep and Lauren Bacall were among the final people to visit her bedside on Wednesday before her death.

I'm sad to confirm that Natasha Richardson has passed away. A spokesperson for the family said,
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

We are so sad to bring you the news that Natasha Richardson passed away earlier today at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York after suffering a traumatic head injury caused by a skiing accident. Her rep has released a statement saying, "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

Following her skiing accident in Montreal, it's been reported that Brit actress Natasha Richardson is brain dead.
The terribly sad news was given to a People reporter by a family friend on Tuesday night. They said, "There is no chance, it is a fact that her heart is beating, but she is brain dead."

We're very sad to report that Natasha Richardson has apparently been declared brain dead after a traumatic head injury caused by a ski accident. A family friend said "there is no chance" for her and "it's not official yet, but they basically will detach her [from life support]." Along with her own acting career, her husband is Liam Neeson, mother Vanessa Redgrave, and sister Joely Richardson.

Natasha Richardson Seriously Injured In Skiing Accident
British actress Natasha Richardson is in hospital after suffering a serious head injury while skiing in Montréal. The 45 year old was taken to hospital near Mont Tremblant and then later in the day she was transferred to Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal.
Natasha is the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and sister of Joely Richardson, and has been married to actor Liam Neeson for fifteen years.
