Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 9: "Me and My Town"
While I thought this week's episode of Desperate Housewives is pretty good, I really missed the recent guest stars (Frances Conroy as the wealthy Virginia Hildebrand and Lily Tomlin as Mrs. McCluskey's sister Roberta)! But overall this episode — all about the immediate aftermath of the fire at the club where Blue Odyssey was playing their first show — is better than most of them, in my opinion. Nothing too ridiculous happens (not even, surprisingly, in Susan's storyline), and there are even a few truly sweet moments (like Carlos's little speech to Gaby about why he married her).
Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode Five: "Mirror, Mirror"
I really enjoyed the format of this week's episode of Desperate Housewives, how about you? It hit the ground running with each of the various couples engaged in its own tense moment, topped off by Mrs. McCluskey walking into her birthday party wielding a baseball bat! Throughout the episode we learn all about what we missed over the past five years.
Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 10, "Welcome to Kanagawa"
It feels like it was ages ago that we left Lynette unleashing her primal scream at a nearly destroyed Wisteria Lane, and by last night I was more than ready to find out what happened with everyone on Desperate Housewives. Maybe it's the steady decrease in new episodes on TV, but I was downright giddy to watch this week's DH, and I'm glad it didn't disappoint. Then again, because there is so little by way of new TV it's possible my standards were lowered.

Last night Los Angeles played host to the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, where all our favourite TV stars lined up on the red carpet in gorgeous gowns and smart suits. Mad Men star Christina Hendricks looked stunning in her dark green dress, and Weeds actress Mary-Louise Parker brightened up the red carpet in her bright blue number. There were a smattering of Brits among those on the red carpet including Ugly Betty star Ashley Jensen and her Extras costar Ricky Gervais.

I am usually not a fan of Nicolette Sheridan but I must give her credit for her look at Koi the other night. She finally dressed in an age appropriate outfit. After the nasty green mermaid dress at the Sag Awards and the other fashion disaster examples she has worn in the past - it is refreshing to see her act her age.Link Time!!!
