Patrick Dempsey to Move From the Hospital to the Bank
Patrick Dempsey is finally breaking out of his romantic comedy pigeonhole — sort of. He's set to star in an untitled heist film, penned by the guys behind The Hangover. Don't get your hopes up to see Dempsey as a bad-boy bank robber, though — he'll be playing a man "caught in the middle of two different robberies at the same bank who tries to protect a bank teller with whom he's secretly in love."

Patrick Dempsey was busy yesterday starting the day off with a juggling routine on GMA then making a stop at The Late Show to chat with Dave about his love for racing, his latest Avon fragrance, and his daughters obsession with Twilight. The Grey's Anatomy star is in town to help fellow Avon spokesperson Reese Witherspoon raise awareness in the fight again breast cancer and domestic violence. Patrick Dempsey Juggles Multiple Projects on GMA
Patrick Dempsey attended Reese Witherspoon's Avon benefit last night, and he was by the actress's side again today to appear on Good Morning America before heading out to do some shopping. Reese was on the show to chat about her new fragrance, while Patrick opened up about his own work with the cosmetics company as well as this season of Grey's Anatomy. He showed off a preview of tomorrow night's episode before going on to reveal that he's developing a new pilot with his wife based on her experiences in cosmetology school.
Reese Leads the Carpet of Champions For Avon
Lots of lovely ladies stepped out in NYC last night for the Avon Foundation's Champions Who Change Women's Lives benefit. Brand ambassador Reese Witherspoon was front and center on the carpet in a strapless number, joined by a fresh-from-LA Lauren Conrad in a fitted dress. Courteney Cox posed for photos alongside pal Fergie, though the Cougar Town star is set to have another friend, Lisa Kudrow, make a cameo on her show.

Lauren Conrad, Courteney Cox, Reese Witherspoon and Fergie attened Avon's Champions Who Change Women's Lives celebration at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Reese hosted and Fergie performed at the benefit, which honours those who have fought breast cancer and domestic violence, while Patrick and Jillian Dempsey, Courteney and a darker haired Lauren were on presenting duties. Lauren has revealed she is dressing as a clown for Halloween, and Courteney has revealed her former Friends costar Lisa Kudrow will appear on Cougar Town as a dermatologist.
Patrick Dempsey Has Mastered the Art of Racing in the Rain
Patrick Dempsey braved the gloomy weather as he dodged raindrops while running errands in LA yesterday. The car enthusiast has spent his past few weekends at the tracks in Maine and Florida, where he raced. He's taking his passion to the big screen for The Art of Racing in the Rain, but before that we'll see him costarring with everyone in Valentine's Day.

Patrick Dempsey stopped by the racetrack at Homestead, FL, yesterday and this morning to practice before the Rolex Series race he'll be driving in this weekend. Patrick Dempsey's main hobby is collecting and racing cars, and he was in Madrid yesterday for a photo call promoting the new Subaru Outback looking sleek in his hot leather jacket. Patrick isn't the only past or present Grey's Anatomy actor to earn some cash on the side promoting vehicles — Kate Walsh is also the memorable face of Cadillac.
