Patrick Dempsey Revs Some Engines
Patrick Dempsey was in Le Mans, France yesterday to practice for the city's annual 24 Hour race this Saturday. He and two teammates plan to compete in the marathon competition tomorrow, with the goal of raising money for children born with heart defects. Patrick usually fits his need for speed into his work schedule when he's filming Grey's Anatomy, but now that his show's on hiatus until next season he's even more able to dedicate himself to the track.
Patrick Dempsey Is Very Supportive
Patrick Dempsey looked sexy in his sweater on his way out of a restaurant in LA yesterday. He has the whole Summer to relax now that Grey's Anatomy has wrapped, but he's still getting recognition for his hard work — he's been submitted in the Emmy race this year for Best Supporting Actor. Patrick's costars have gotten Emmy love in the past, but it may be his time to shine after another dramatic year at Seattle Grace.

Patrick Dempsey Buys a New McDream House
Patrick Dempsey just put his Holmby Hills digs on the market in March, and he's already found a new McDream pad for his family. The Dempsey clan will soon be moving into a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath New England-style estate in LA, which he purchased for nearly $6.5 million. I wouldn't call this one of my favorite celebrity homes, but it is pretty charming, sophisticated, and understated.
Grey's Anatomy Rundown: Episode 23, "Here's to the Future," and Episode 24, "Now or Never"
Grey's Anatomy just wouldn't be the same without an intense season finale. After all, this is the show that had Burke shot, killed Denny, and had Meredith build a house of candles. But even by Grey's standards, Thursday's finale was a doozy.
Grey's Anatomy Rundown: Episode 22, "What a Difference a Day Makes"
The 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy has all the elements of a classic: there's a big tragedy that brings a lot of the doctors together, a few sweeping speeches, and a wedding that makes me cry despite lots of lapses of logic. After an extremely satisfying episode followed by an extremely unsatisfying month-long break, Grey's Anatomy returns tonight. I'm curious to see how things at Seattle Grace have changed in the aftermath of Izzie's surgery and Derek's proposal.
