Have you seen the French thriller Pour elle? I haven't, but now I'd like to before the English-language remake comes to theaters, courtesy of Paul Haggis (writer/director of Crash). The remake, titled The Next Three Days, had already nabbed Russell Crowe for the male lead and now it looks like Elizabeth Banks will play his wife.

We recently heard the news that Starz is turning the 2006 Best Picture Oscar winner Crash into a television series. Much of the movie's original creative team — including the director Paul Haggis and his co-writer Bobby Moresco — is reassembling for the project, which is encouraging, though I still wonder what shape it will take. According to Don Cheadle, who will produce the series, "This series will present an opportunity to delve into many subjects, not just race relations in LA.

Charlize Theron looked absolutely stunning at the photocall and premiere of her new movie, In the Valley of Elah at the Venice Film Vestival on Saturday. The movie is based on a true story about parents (Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon) working with a police detective (Charlize) to find their son who goes missing after coming home from serving in Iraq. It certainly sounds like an intense film with a controversial subject mattter, but the Oscar winning actress has proven that she is far more than just a gorgeous face.

I'm just going to say this up front: NBC's "The Black Donnellys" is a little like "The Sopranos," if all of Tony Soprano's associates were incredibly attractive young men. Between the good-looking cast and the cinematic, almost epic look of the pilot, "The Black Donnellys," which premieres tonight, is definitely doing just fine in the eye-candy department.

I feel like I've been hearing about "The Black Donnellys" for months now. That's probably because the show — which follows four Irish brothers who get caught up in organized crime in New York — has some serious star power. The series was created by Oscar-winner Paul Haggis, who directed Crash and wrote the screenplay for Million Dollar Baby.

Paul Haggis (Crash) just added a new actor to the cast of his latest project, The Next Three Days: RZA. That may sound like a surprising choice — what's the founder of Wu-Tang doing in a serious drama?! — but the big screen is nothing new to some of the world's biggest rappers.
