Burberry isn't interested in the credit crunch. The British brand has continually reported a growth in sales throughout the economic downturn and Christopher Bailey, along with CEO Angela Ahrendts, has been a big factor in this. It has one of the biggest budgets for advertising and yet still made the slightly risky decision to return home during London Fashion Week to show one of the most talked about lines for Spring 2010.

The Queen continued her busy week following Trooping the Colour and the Order of the Garter Ceremony Procession with a trip to the races yesterday. She was joined by members of her family as well as Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh for the first day of The Royal Meeting at Ascot. Prince Charles and Prince Philip wore top hats, while the women wore a variety of headgear.

Prince William donned a rather splendid hat with huge plume as he took part in the Garter Ceremony Procession in Windsor yesterday. It's a busy week for the Royal family, what with the Trooping of the Colour on Saturday and Royal Ascot starting today, but the Queen showed no signs of tiredness as she smiled in her long cloak. Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor Prince Harry wasn't present, as the Order of the Garter (Britain's oldest Order of Chivalry founded in 1348) has a tiny membership, and Wills was only made a knight of the order last year.

Prince William and Prince Harry joined the rest of the Royal family for Trooping the Colour to celebrate the Queen's official birthday on Saturday. After watching the parade, which reenacts traditional preparations for battle when the colours (flags) were ''trooped'' down the ranks, the brothers moved from Horse Guards Parade to watch the traditional fly-past from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, alongside Princess Anne, Prince Edward and his family, Prince Philip, Camilla and Prince Charles. 20,000 people gathered in the streets around the Mall and Horse Guards Parade to join in the celebrations, while thousands more (like me) watched on TV!

Lots of celebrities took advantage of the sunshine to enjoy the VIP preview of the Chelsea Flower Show in London yesterday. While Sienna Miller wrapped up warm, Helena Bonham Carter cuddled up to her mum, Joanna Lumley got up close to the blooms, and the Queen awarded Prince Charles his Medal of Honour. Check out who else spent the day smelling the flowers.

Prince Charles launched a global awareness campaign for The Prince's Rainforests Project today, with a video starring school children from across the world as well as famous faces. Daniel Craig, Pele, Robin Williams, Harrison Ford, Joss Stone, Dalai Lama, Kermit the Frog and Charles's own sons, William and Harry, all add their voices to the campaign. This is the first YouTube video from Prince Charles, and his spokesman commented: "The Prince is not necessarily someone who is a regular user of the internet.

Looks like the Obamas aren't the only ones raising media attention over sustainable food and farming: British model-actress Elizabeth Hurley is teaming up with none other than Prince Charles to launch a new line of organic foods.
The "modern, healthy, organic food" line will launch in October, Hurley's spokesperson said today. The range will be sold by Prince Charles's sustainable food company, Duchy Originals, with offerings such as pork, poultry, lamb, and rare breed beef, as well as organic grains harvested at Hurley's 400-acre organic farm in western England.
