Regis Philbin Puts an iPhone on His Holiday Wish List

Well well well. Back in early 2008, Kelly Ripa tried to get Regis Philbin to join the iPhone club, but he just wouldn't budge. And after almost two years of confessing her love for her iPhone, good ole' Regis has finally decided it's time to ask Santa for an iPhone - which he says he wants to fill with "thousands of apps." I think once he gets the hang of the iPhone, he'll love it. I mean, the guy does know what a search engine is, so maybe he isn't a total Luddite after all? Regardless, just listening to the adorable duo banter back and forth about tech is pretty priceless.

OK. That's not an entirely fair headline, but seriously, Patricia Heaton was on Who Wants to Be a Celebrity Millionaire trying to win charity money for Sierra Leone last night. The Ohio State graduate, however, could not do basic math. I'm no mathlete either, but this is one of the most excruciating episodes of this show I've ever watched. She positively luxuriates in her refusal to figure out a simple conversion of US dollars to euros back to US coins. And her European husband (ha!) couldn't figure it out either. Start at 3:03 . . . if you dare!

For all of you BlackBerry owners, I'm sure you're well aware of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Basically what it is, is IM right on your phone in real time. Unlike SMS, messages are free since they are sent through RIM servers, just like email. Now here comes the fun part: When you send a message, you'll see a D beside it to let you know that it was delivered. And as soon as the recipient reads the message, an R will appear (to show it has been received). Therefore, with BBM, it becomes impossible to ignore messages since the sender will know if you got the message but aren't responding. On yesterday's Live With Regis and Kelly, Bromance star Brody Jenner mentioned how his love affair with his girlfriend started with BBM. Are you a BBM user? Millionaire Might Be Revived on ABC: Would You Watch?

Soon after Slumdog Millionaire's success at this year's Golden Globes, ABC started toying with the idea of bringing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? back to its primetime schedule this Summer. They even hope to get Regis himself back on the show, 10 years after Millionaire first aired.

The show is clearly much more top-of-mind these days, thanks to Slumdog. Would you be interested in seeing the ol' Millionaire on TV again?

Do You Ever Send Mean Emails?

When I saw the following clip on Live With Regis and Kelly, I couldn't help but LOL. Mainly because of Kelly's annoyed reaction, but also because of the "they're just like us" aspect. Even Regis and Kelly get quite the variety of emails sent to their inboxes.

I know I've discussed online rants before and how people have a tendency to do things online that they would never do in "the real world," but I'm curious to know if you've gone the distance and said something really mean in an email that you probably wouldn't have said to someone's face. Do tell below!

Regis and Kelly Dress as Celebrity Chefs

For their Halloween special last Friday, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa dressed up in fourteen different costumes, four of which included celebrity chefs. Regis yelled at the audience as Gordon Ramsay while Ripa's Paula Deen munched on a butter kabob that she washed down with a glass of oil. The real Guy Fieri showed up to cook a flank steak with the "chefs." Later Kelly licked chocolate from a bowl as Nigella Lawson and Regis overused the word "Bam" pretending to be Emeril Lagasse. The funny show demonstrates that the popularity and success of celebrity chefsdom is still on the rise. Check out the clip below!
