Emily, Rupert and Royal Friends Take Young Victoria to TIFF
Emily Blunt and Sarah Ferguson left the front rows of New York and swapped fashion for film at the premiere of The Young Victoria. The Brits were joined at the Toronto Film Festival by Sarah's daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, as well as Emily's costar Rupert Friend. Emily didn't have her new fiance by her side, as John Krasinski was living it up in Los Angeles at the Emmy Awards, and unlike the London premiere Keira Knightley didn't join Rupert, so the gorgeous costars kept each other company on the red carpet.

Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend cuddled up for a walk around London this week. The happy couple was out soaking up the Summer sun together, just a few days after a late night out toasting a short film they worked on together called The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers. It looks like Keira was making the most of her day off from her current project, London Boulevard, which she's been working on with Colin Farrell for the past few weeks.

The duo looked happy to be spending time together, especially considering that Keira is recovering from a recent cold and has been so busy filming Never Let Me Go. Rupert Is Without His Cherie Amore at Cheri Premiere
Rupert Friend looked gorgeous at the UK premiere of Cheri at The Cine Lumiere in London yesterday. While Keira Knightley joined him for the film's Berlin premiere in February, Rupert was without his busy girlfriend last night, and without costar Michelle Pfeiffer, but looked happy to pose alongside his costar Felicity Jones. They were also joined by director Stephen Frears and screenplay writer Christopher Hampton.
Movie Preview: Pfeiffer and Friend in Chéri
Michelle Pfeiffer and Rupert Friend make a lovely, beautifully costumed duo in Chéri, a romantic drama set in the 1920s. From the trailer it doesn't look so much like a drama as it does a sweet, funny little period piece, but apparently the story takes place in Paris "where the son of a courtesan retreats into a fantasy world after being forced to end his relationship with the older woman who educated him in the ways of love." It looks like a nice enough movie, but so far I'm mostly mesmerized by the silks and lace, pearls and hats on display in the trailer.

Chéri — See It or Skip It?
Following The Young Victoria, Rupert Friend is back in another costume drama — Chéri. He stars opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in the Parisian period piece, with support from Kathy Bates and Felicity Jones. It's out in the UK on May 8, and tells the story of the love affair between a retired courtesan Léa and soon to be married Chéri, the son of her old colleague and rival, Mme Peloux.
Keira Shares the Spotlight With Rupert
Keira Knightley looked lovely in her white dress with black accessories at the Young Victoria afterparty in London last night. Keira was at the premiere to support her boyfriend Rupert Friend, who had his costar Emily Blunt on his arm on the red carpet. Keira has a few of her own new movies to look forward to — she'll be playing a cloned girl in Never Let Me Go after costarring with Colin Farrell in London Boulevard.

Emily Blunt shimmered on the red carpet at the premiere for The Young Victoria in London last night, while her costar Rupert Friend attended the premiere afterparty with his girlfriend Keira Knightley. Emily said it's hard to adjust to her rising public profile in anticipation of the movie, saying, "It's weird to see us all over buses. It is very strange for me but this feels like the most rewarding film I've ever been a part of and I'm just glad that people will get to see it now."
