Last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards were just a preview of what may come in a few weeks at the Oscars. Little Miss Sunshine took home the award for the best film ensemble. Helen Mirren and Forest Whitaker took home more awards for best lead players.

Even though the women folk are the belles of the award show season, there are men in attendance as well, and their outfits deserve to be commended (and mocked) as seen fit. At last night's SAG Awards (check out the winners here) the guys kept it pretty conservative, but somehow Ashton Kutcher managed to slip that giant goofy bow tie past Demi. Perhaps she didn't even see him before he left the house (busy making herself look completely fabulous, I'm sure), because you'd think she might encourage him to shave, too.

The ladies looked amazing last night at the 13th Annual SAG Awards. Reese once again showed off her new slim figure and confident smile. Our favorite young Hollywood starlet, Rachel McAdams toned down the pink highlights and turned up the adorableness with her short sassy dress (could she be any cuter - seriously?).

It's the beginning of the year and that means it's award show time! Elijah Wood and Sandra Oh woke up early this morning to announce the nominees for the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in West Hollywood. Many look to the SAG awards as an indicator of who will win the Oscars because a lot of its members also belong to the Academy.

Here to kick off the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards is the lovely America in Vera Wang. She somewhat went the neutral route, but the black mesh asymmetrical detail is a nice surprise. I'm rather undecided on this one; it's different but I'm not convinced the camel color is the most flattering.

This Betty is definitely not ugly, as America Ferrera looks lovely walking down the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her dark hair is parted with long layers swept across her face and pulled back into a loose, low ponytail resting over one shoulder. It offsets the gown's embellishment on the opposite side, wouldn't you say?

Just as she was for the Golden Globe Awards, Kate Winslet is nominated for two different SAG Awards: one for her performance in The Reader, and the other for her performance in Revolutionary Road. For Kate, these accolades are not only well-deserved, but they contribute to her overall beauty. She is beaming tonight, and not just from the makeup, though her foundation is illuminating her skin nicely.

The SAG awards stood out to me for being a colorful red carpet. Yours and my choices for best dressed provide an array of eye candy. Cuts were generally slim and glam — but personalities shined through.

Amy Adams likes her bustier dresses, and her SAG Awards choice is no exception. Her fitted burgundy Giambattista Valli column gown, replete with volume at the waist is quite dramatic. Is it eye-catching or too much?
