Last night at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, the most common makeup theme from the ladies on the red carpet was black, heavily lined eyes paired with pink lipstick. The eye style varied from dark and smoky on Kristin Cavallari to clean and winged on Madonna. Lips also came in a wide spectrum of shades ranging from candy floss pink on Solange Knowles to pinky-coral on Katy Perry.

Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z were both spotted out and about in London yesterday, doing a little shopping in the British sunshine. They're over here at the moment as Beyonce is on tour — she appeared at the O2 Arena this weekend and the audience were treated to glimpses of her man, who was apparently centre stage as she made her entrance. Beyonce Knowles looked stylish in silver and white — get her look now — with Jay-Z as they headed back to their London hotel Sunday after a night out with her sister Solange at Bungalow 8. They're in England after a few days in Spain as Beyonce's European tour rolls on. Ireland is the next country on her itinerary, so hopefully, Jay-Z sticks around to keep being his wife's number one fan.
