Madonna kicked off her Sticky and Sweet tour this weekend in Wales, and while we have to wait a few more months to watch the amazing show, you can bet there will be plenty of images available online to tease us until then. The singer showed off her insane physique in a variety of outfits, including some '80s-inspired looks which made the 50-year-old look like a teenager. The show is receiving rave reviews and includes video cameos from Justin, Kanye, and Britney (ICYMI, watch it here - most of you all seem to be loving it!). Guy and their kids were there to watch and cheer Madonna on, and Guy even gave his wife a good luck pre-show kiss. So much for the marriage in trouble - these two supposedly recently renewed their vows.

From dancing provocatively with Justin Timberlake to making out with a female backup dancer on stage, Madonna's private promo shows for Hard Candy are already making headlines. She seems intent on showing us that although 50 might be around the corner, she's nowhere near settling down. Yesterday she announced that her new world tour, "Sticky and Sweet," will kick off August 23 in Cardiff, Wales. We all know Madonna puts on some of the best live shows in the world - just ask Katie Sugar - so no doubt she's pulling out all the stops to do it again. So tell us, will you go see Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour?

Madonna Gets Sticky and Sweet

We revealed sketches of Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour costumes, and now that the tour is underway, let's see them come to life. The list of designers who worked on the singer's wardrobe and accessories includes Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, Tom Ford, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli, Jeremy Scott, and Yves Saint Laurent. Whew! I'll let you judge their creations for yourself, but it's important to note that the color palette is mainly black with spritzes of color. Expect lots of leather, sky-high boots, and booty-revealing cuts. Madge wouldn't have it any other way.

Blake Fielder-Civil has admitted that he's responsible for getting Amy Winehouse into drugs and that's the reason he is leaving her. Madonna's Tour Is Sticky and Sweaty

Madonna, no stranger to sweating, has brought her high-fitness level to the stage of her tour Sticky and Sweet.

I have not seen the show myself, but it's pretty clear from the pictures that all her hard work at her gym is paying off. Madonna has a bit of pole dancing, jump roping, deep squats, and more during the show, all while she's singing, too - talk about the ultimate talk test. And you can bet this 50-year-old rock star is not letting a little world tour get in the way of staying healthy, People reports that:

"The harder Madonna works the happier she is," says Rosenberg, a longtime friend. "Because she was a dancer, that's why. It's practice, practice, practice."

On her opening night in Cardiff, Wales, "She had a massage and a facial – things are very quiet," says the rep.

Before each show, she spends an hour in hair and makeup then performs some vocal exercises. Next, she warms up with some form of exercise, "probably some free weights."

I've always been impressed with her dedication to fitness, but when she is on tour I am reminded of how fit she really is - not many women half her age could keep up with her on and off stage. Cheers Madonna, and happy touring.

Madonna Celebrates After Collapse, Lines Up Cate and David

Madonna performed her penultimate Sticky and Sweet show in Tel Aviv last night, as her "Celebration" video with Jesus and Lourdes premiered: check it out after the jump and vote on whether it's so hot or so blah. She appeared on top form at the concert as she sang to 50,000 fans and called the country the "energy centre of the world", but at her weekend show in Bulgaria she collapsed on stage twice. Madonna will be able to take a well-deserved rest soon though, as she is due to wrap up her world tour with a final show in Israel tonight. She's already turning her attention to her musical film project Wallis, and reportedly wants Cate Blanchett and David Tennant to play the parts of Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. Sounds exciting!

Fab Flash: Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Costumes

Arianne Phillips, the brain behind the seams of Madonna's costumes is at it again. With the singer's upcoming Sticky and Sweet tour, launching Aug. 23, the costume designer is hard at work putting together a fashion masterpiece. Similar to her previous concerts, Madonna's costumes will range across four different influences: gangsta pimp, art deco, gypsy, and futuristic.

Don't expect age to affect her racy fashion statement. “She always wants to push the envelope. There are no vanity considerations based on her age; she looks good in everything,” said Phillips.

Topping the list of collaborating designers are Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, who designed the singer's signature dominatrix costumes; Tom Ford, who provided custom suits for the band; custom-made shoes by Miu Miu and Stella McCartney; sunglasses from Moschino, and other outfits and accessories from Roberto Cavalli, Jeremy Scott, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Biggest Headlines of 2008: Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Year

We've been counting down the biggest headlines of 2008, and we'll be revealing more throughout the month of December. We hope you enjoy this look back at some of the posts and stories that created the most buzz throughout the year.

It was a year of ups and downs for Madonna, who spent the first half of 2008 focusing on her new album before her music was eclipsed by her personal drama in the press. She started things off by taking Lourdes and Rocco around India and continued to raise money for Malawi with her celebrity friends. In February Madonna showed off her first endeavor as a director when her film Filth and Wisdom premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Her debut was a milestone for the pop star, but the buzz quickly shifted to her new album, Hard Candy. She and her little black ensembles were all over the magazine covers and her collaboration with Justin quickly became a big hit.

Madonna's success continued and was marked by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but by March there were whispers of problems with her marriage to Guy Ritchie. They battled the gossip with hand-in-hand dinner dates, but the speculation was far from over. Madonna hit the road on her Sticky and Sweet tour once Hard Candy was released in May. When she wasn't busy up on stage, she stuck by Guy's side at Cannes but by Summer the divorce rumors were back and bigger than ever. To look back at the rest of Madonna's year just read more.

Not long after Madonna was spotted at Yankee stadium with her kids in June, word spread like wildfire that something was going on between her and Yankee Alex Rodriguez and that both she and Guy had already hired divorce lawyers. Madonna's rep was quick to deny the reports and rumors, and as if on cue, Madonna and Guy were spotted holding hands a few days later in NYC. In early July Alex Rodriguez's wife filed for divorce, which didn't help matters.

Her marriage controversy was put on the backburner for a bit when her brother Christopher Ciccone published a tell-all about Madonna, which bothered her more than the affair rumors. Madonna and Guy continued to keep up the appearance of being a happy couple, celebrating her 50th birthday together in August and appearing together on red carpets for Guy's movie Rocknrolla before it was his turn for a birthday bash.

While everything seemed to be fine on the surface, the year-long questions about their relationship were about to be answered. The rumors about Madonna and A-Rod continued and they were spotted having dinner together in October just a few days before Madonna and Guy officially announced their divorce on October 15.

The split wasn't about to slow down Madonna's touring schedule, and she had friends in her corner on stage and off. It didn't take much time for the rumors about their divorce settlement and child custody to get ugly. The couple reached a divorce settlement in mid December, and went their separate ways. As Guy keeps busy with Sherlock Holmes, Madonna is still performing on stage night after night. She's been spotted with Alex a handful of times in the past months, and despite rumors that they're getting closer, A-Rod claims that there's nothing romantic between them. It was a roller coaster year for Madonna to say the least, but we might have to wait until 2009 to find out if she and A-Rod are more than just friends.

Madonna vs Britney Spears: Whose Stage Style Do You Prefer?

As well as rocking Liverpool this week, Madonna invited Britney Spears up on stage to perform during the Los Angeles leg of her Sticky and Sweet tour. The singers had almost the exact same shade of blonde hair, but with Madonna working the undulating curls trend, while Britney went for sleek and sophisticated. Britney opted for smoky eyes with an orangey pink shade of lipstick. Meanwhile Madonna sported pale grey and lilac eye makeup and a softer shade of lip colour to suit her porcelain complexion.
