Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes joined Anne Hathaway backstage at the Tina Turner concert in NYC last night. Anne deserves a night of celebration now that Rachel Getting Married is leading the 2009 Independent Spirit Award nominations, including a best actress nod for her. Katie finally had a chance to relax on her night off from Broadway after a busy week with the Beckhams.

Tina Turner and Beyonce were rolling, rolling, rolling on a river Sunday night with their duet rendition of "Proud Mary" at the 50th annual Grammys. Between Beyonce's sequin-studded dress and Tina's silver capris, the two were literally sparkling. But how did you like the performance?

Well, we knew the music industry's biggest award show would be huge this year since it was the Grammys' 50th birthday. Between the Beyonce and Tina Turner duet, Kanye's touching performance, and Feist's simple rendition of, "1 2 3 4," this year's Grammy Awards did not disappoint.

Many of the ladies on the red carpet had the chance to change outfits since they performed and presented as well. In fact, during some parts of the show the beautiful boys like John Mayer and John Legend were simply background fodder to Alicia Keys and Fergie's fabulous voices. We were especially excited to see Alicia getting down in an age appropriate outfit that made her shine.

Happy birthday, Grammys! The granddaddy of music awards shows turns 50 tonight, with a special show packed full of performances and tributes to greats musicians from the past and the present.
In addition to Amy Winehouse's live-via-satellite performance, there are a ton of other much-hyped acts taking the stage tonight: Beyonce and Tina Turner will duet, as will John Legend and Fergie and Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli.

- Three series renewals this week: TV Week reports that Oxygen is in for a third season of Tori and Dean and Bravo has rewened Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, while Mediaweek has news on Showtime's renewal of Brotherhood.
- Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling will star in All Good Things, a period drama and murder mystery directed by the man behind the documentary Capturing the Friedmans, Zap2it reports.
