You probably knew that Toby Keith was a country musician and songwriter, but did you realize that he writes movies, too? Well, apparently he does. His movie, currently in post-production, was just picked up by Roadside Attractions.

Last night Kenny Chesney was declared the Entertainer of the Year for the fourth year in a row at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Vegas. Garth Brooks was also back in the limelight to receive the first-ever Crystal Milestone Award for his outstanding achievements. Performer Keith Urban didn't need a trophy to make him gush.

Nashville rolled out the purple carpet for the finest in country music last night. Nicole and her barely showing baby bump supported her husband Keith Urban who was the opening act. Faith Hill looked a little lost in her all black ensemble but that hubby Tim McGraw's hat was a helpful distraction.

Some of country music and rock n roll's finest gathered at Gibson Amphitheatre in LA last night to celebrate filming CMT Giants: Hank Williams Jr. The show, which featured performances by Steven Tyler, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tim McGraw and Toby Keith among others, paid tribute to Williams Jr.'s career. Present and accounted for was country music's future sensation, Jessica Simpson in a sassy orange number. I'm sure the boys were enjoying that one.
