Artist Tracey Emin: "It Was Always About Sex, Not Money"
Writers and artists in the “confessional” mode are often accused of being narcissistic and self-indulgent. This may be true for certain male memoirists like James Frey (A Million Little Pieces), but I think we so rarely get accounts of women’s real lives that, self-indulgent or not, I welcome art and writing by women that gives me a window into their experience.
Take Tracey Emin, an English multimedia artist who often incorporates details about her sex life into her work.
Kate, Sienna and Lily Are Hoping They've Got Talent
Kate Moss was joined by loads of celebrity pals, including Jamie Hince, Sienna Miller and Lily Allen, for her fundraising karaoke event Hoping's Got Talent at Cafe de Paris in London last night. Kate and Louis Walsh hosted the evening in aid of the Hoping For Palestine charity, and last year's event raised £319,000. Lily looked tanned after flying back from Nice Airport with Kate and Jamie, and all the celebrities in attendance were full of smiles as Will Young dressed up in a fat suit and David Walliams donned a costume.
Stars Shine at South Bank Show Awards
Dozens of stars turned out for the South Bank Show Awards at London's Dorchester Hotel yesterday. Sophie-Ellis Bextor covered her baby bump with a pretty dress, and Emilia Fox also went floral as she made her first public appearance since announcing her divorce last week. Strictly Come Dancing's Arlene Phillips and John Sergeant put the past behind them and smiled together, and runner-up Rachel Stevens grinned wide even though it looks like Michelle Ryan will be the new Doctor Who assistant: previous assistant Freema Agyeman was also at the ceremony.
US-Bound BMI Winner Lily Helps Nigella Launch Saatchi
Nigella Lawson looked gorgeous at her husband's Saatchi Gallery Launch Party last night on the King's Road, and a host of celebrities braved the weather to welcome the artworks to their new home in Chelsea. Mariella Frostrup wrapped up in an on-trend chunky knit, while still sexy Stephen Dorff continued his leather jacket and plaid shirt combo. London Fashion Week: Celeb Spotting — Part Five
We're on part five of my celeb spotting at London Fashion Week series, and yesterday there were even more shows from the likes of House of Holland and Betty Jackson, as well as a big charity fashion show called Fashion For Relief, where lots of famous faces took to the catwalk in aid of the White Ribbon Alliance. Heidi Range lost a shoe on the catwalk as she worked it with her Sugababes bandmates, but that didn't stop her grinning as she posed! Cheryl Cole also beamed as she walked up and down the catwalk, but anyone would if they were wearing her enormous new wedding ring.
Orlando Bloom Has Hugs For Everyone
Orlando Bloom was in Edinburgh, Scotland, over the weekend to celebrate the career of his friend, British artist Tracey Emin. He spent the evening showing off his smirks side-by-side with his dad Colin, but the hugs weren't just reserved for the family as Orlando also embraced the evening's honoree, Tracey. The actor is certainly not one to shy away from a little affection with friends.

Will's been resting since he had his tonsils removed, to ensure he's back to his best for the summer shows he's appearing at, which include the Isle of Wight Festival and V 2009. A handful of celebs turned out to the private viewing of new exhibition Linda McCartney Photographs at the James Hyman Gallery yesterday. Sir Paul McCartney and daughter Mary picked out the images to be displayed and they, and Stella, came out to see the twenty-eight images, along with friends Ringo Starr, Twiggy, Kate Moss and George Michael. The exhibition has already had great reviews, and particular interest has been drawn to the photographs she took as Linda Eastman back in the 1960s for Rolling Stone magazine, featuring the likes of Mick Jagger and Janis Joplin.
Kate and Jamie Are Back Together and Loving It
Kate Moss left her London home earlier today with a couple of pals, but this weekend was all about her on-again man Jamie Hince. The recently reunited pair looked thrilled to be back in each other's company as they checked out an art exhibit by their friend Tracey Emin alongside Kate's ex, Jefferson Hack, and his fiancee. Jamie's in the UK until his band kicks off their European tour on Saturday in France, so perhaps Kate will resume her role as his No.
