Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson Split

This shouldn't be a surprise and yet it is! Recently we have seen Adam and Rachel both going solo and that's evidently because they've been broken up for awhile. The couple that is having issues onscreen is apparently over in real life as well. Life & Style reports:

“They’ve been done for a few weeks,” a friend close to the couple tells Life & Style. “They are just done. That’s all there is to it. There’s no drama. They just ended it.”

That may explain why Adam showed up solo to a party on Nov. 28 for the U.S. premiere of Volkswagen’s concept car Tiguan in LA.

“He was definitely acting like a single guy,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style.

According to nightlife insiders in LA, he’s been spending a lot of time without Rachel at the clubs with his guy friends.

Reps for the two would not comment.

We're so sad to see them split up. We just loved these two as a couple. We wish them both the best. Hopefully things aren't too awkward on the set!

Disclaimer: I am 100% biased in this story due to my borderline problematic adoration of all things Rachel Bilson.

I come to you all with some sad news. It seems that the Rachel Bilson/Adam Brody split is sticking. Word is, Mr. Brody has been seen cozying up with none other than Kirsten Dunst. Isn't that just Indie Rockdorable? Downgrade.

Well, fine, I will forever retire my SethAdam/SummerRachel banner that hangs above my bed. My only hope is that Bilson nabs herself a new man that puts any Dunst or Brody to shame. Hey, I hear JT's basically single.

Trouble for Rachel and Adam?

Super cute Rachel and Adam are one of our favorite couples, so we were so sad to hear that the two may be having some problems. The rumor is the two OC stars were very close to getting engaged, but now Adam is a little jealous of Rachel's friendship with her The Last Kiss co-star, Zach Braff. Our fingers are crossed this is all just one big rumor. They sure seemed happy at the premiere a few weeks ago. Here's more:

Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson have reportedly hit a rough patch. The stars of “The O.C.” fell in love while working on the show, and it “looked like they were on their way to getting engaged just a little while back,” a source told Star, but “are going through a really difficult period right now.” One reason, according to the insider, may be because of Bilson’s friendship with Zach Braff, her co-star from “The Last Kiss.” “Zach calls Rachel a lot and they talk on the phone like girlfriends,” says the insider. "But what really eats away at Adam is when Rachel starts talking about how mature Zach is. No guy appreciates his girlfriend comparing him to another guy.”

Rachel Bilson Loves JT

Love that Rachel Bilson is happy to admit she is an NSYNC fan. Supposedly she got all excited the other night when she got JT's phone number. No worries, it was a friendly exchange. Rachel and Adam are still going strong. Here's more on her JT encounter from The Insider:

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and CAMERON DIAZ are doing just fine. So fine that they're secure enough to let each other make friends with members of the opposite sex. A source tells me that Timberlake recently exchanged numbers with "O.C." starlet RACHEL BILSON, who famously dates her "O.C." co-star, ADAM BRODY. Bilson and Timberlake were recently introduced at a Hollywood nightclub. And before you jump to any conclusions, I'm told Diaz was there so it's not like Timberlake was trying to pull a fast one. "Rachel and her friends can't believe it because they were such huge *NSYNC fans," the source says.

Well, sigh, it was bound to happen sometime. Needless to say, the Bilson/Brody split of '06 rocked me pretty hard (and not in the good rock way), but it was only a matter of time before we had photographic evidence of one of these little cherubs hanging with someone new. Rumors of Adam's post-Bilson trysts already surfaced, but until now Bils has laid pretty low. But this cutesy feeding Jumper co-star Hayden Christensen lunch and buying groceries while he waits in the car? Well, it looks like things may have gone from co-star to co-star pretty quickly.

Is this the day the music, and by "music" I mean "hope that Adam and Rachel are secretly still together," died? Okay, okay. They might just be friends. They might just be friends.

*This pairing is probably very cute. I'm totally not biased.

Bilson & Brody Clearly Lost Without One Another

Life just hasn't been the same since one of our favorite couples split over 6 months ago. These pictures make it even more obvious that life without The OC and the off screen couple that was Bilson & Brody has made these two look like lost little puppies. Rachel seems to have found some friends to keep her company including The OC creator, Josh Schwartz. On the other hand, Adam is showing signs of depression through his lack of personal hygiene these days. While he did find a bandmate to keep him company we're holding out for a Hollywood ending for these two. In fact, let's reminisce and admire Molly's original Adam and Rachel Tribute.

Must Love Dogs

I love that Mischa Barton, and cute couple Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody all hang out together even when their not working. This day they are just hanging with their dogs enjoying the fabulous LA weather. It looks like Rachel is giving Mischa some advice while she chats on the phone perhaps with her new man....

Which OC Alum Will Be The Biggest Star?

It's cute to read that the OC boys still hang out and Ben McKenzie was even around to support Adam Brody while he was making the rounds for In the Land of Women. We've seen lots of Adam, Rachel and Mischa since we kissed the OC goodbye, but it doesn't look like Ben has many projects coming up. Hopefully, this will change in the future, but we want to know - which OC alum do you think will be the biggest star?

Awwww, a Thursday Rachel Bilson treat. She was looking adorable (AS USUAL, sorry, yelling again, love her) at LAX this week. There are only 3 episodes left of the OC (sob*), so she better be staying close to LA for all the finale parties...at which she and Adam will reunite over their shared loss of the show. Ah, a girl can dream, right? Some good news, though, on the OC front is that SOAPnet has bought the rights to show all four seasons of reruns starting in April. A daily Seth/Summer fix? Sign me up.

*I say that like I still watch religiously, but apparently I can't even commit to one show a week. I have no one to blame but myself for the show's demise.

The OC Is Over Just Like Adam and Rachel

First Adam and Rachel split and now the OC is canceled. We were just getting used to the fact that we would not see Summer and Seth in love in real life, but we at least looked forward to watching them on the small screen each week. Now FOX has taken that away from us as well. Oh how will we get our Bilson fix? Someone please give this girl her own show and STAT!

We knew something was wrong when Mischa was missing this season. Perhaps this is why she was so sad yesterday. As for the official news, thankfully the rest of the season will air through February, and it looks like the drama will go out in style with plenty of excitement including a proposal, a pregnancy, and someone coming out.
