Celeb Style: Alexa Chung at Chanel Couture Show

There haven't been many celebrities at the couture shows this season but Fab favourite Alexa Chung attended the Chanel show earlier in the week. The funk Brit presenter kept her outfit simple re-wearing her leather jacket to add a bit of edge.

She had bare legs which makes the ensemble more suitable for Summer and wore classic black court heels. She looks very fresh faced keeping makeup to a minimum. She isn't carrying a bag in this picture but lets hope she remembered her 2.55...

This is a very easy look to recreate and can be put together with High Street pieces. Although a pair of tights would make it a winter look I would be weary of wearing so much black. If you're not such a fan of your legs then why not wear the dress over skinny jeans.

Celebrity Style: Alexa Chung Sports Country Style

Alexa Chung was spotted today busily shopping with her Miu Miu tote on one arm and a Stella McCartney protective clothing case over the other. She was sporting a Bedale Barbour jacket which is one of the hotly tipped items for Spring/Summer particularly for the festival season. I'm not entirely sure that it's appropriate for citywear, what do you think? Are you ready for the revival of the Barbour jacket? Maybe the Queen really is your new style icon! Fab Blab: Alexa Chung Explains She's "Very Limby"

E4 presenter Alexa Chung had a very busy week last week as she attended plenty of shows and parties at London Fashion Week. She must be unhappy with the current penchant for body con as she told WWD,

"I'm very limby, and if I wear tight clothes they make me look like I'm a child pretending to be an adult."

She admits to preferring smock tops but has a great interest in style. The former model explains,

"I adore to put outfits together...After all, I used to want to be a fashion journalist."

Alexa Chung is loving her white hat and I know you're just going to love her outfit for Jade Jagger's party last night. Following her slightly questionable maxi dress earlier in the week it seems she is now back on track. I love the navy blue high waisted skirt and cardigan, it's so flattering with a slightly voluminous blouse. Also, the variations in textures is great. A whole host of fashionistas were honoured at the Elle Style Awards in London last night. TV Star of the Year Alexa Chung hosted the event, which saw Freida Pinto take home Actress of the Year and Joanna Page collect Gavin & Stacey's Best TV Series Award. Elle readers chose Courtney Love as their Woman of The Year, and she revealed backstage that she'll be launching her own collection in the near future. Matthew Williamson presented Sienna Miller with the Style Icon gong, and Thandie Newton gave Mickey Rourke the Actor of the Year Award. Alexa Chung has quickly become a style icon as her wardrobe combines vintage, High Street and designer items effortlessly. However, not everyone has fallen for her charm. Earlier this week at the Elle Style Awards, Alexa commented on Cheryl Cole's Vogue issue where she accused Alexa of acting "all superior".

She said, "I didn't really mind because to be fair I was probably a bit of an idiot when I met her, so it's cool. She's a national treasure so she can say what she likes."

Alexa hosted the Elle Style Awards and took home a gong for 'Best TV Star' but says she's fed up with being called 'geek chic'. "Yeah, I was a bit p****ed off about that actually. I don't intend to be geeky. I think it's because I wear glasses sometimes 'cos I've run out of contact lenses, we've all been there."

You voted Alexa your favourite new style icon in 2008, but she is quite down to earth about her trend role. "I think it's really flattering but it's not something I think about daily. I'm not like, 'Ah, I'm going to spark a trend.' I'm usually filming quite early on in the morning so it's more a case of things I can grab."
