2010 CFDA Fashion Award Nominees Announced!

I rocked my votes and now the 2010 CFDA Fashion Award nominees are in. We have to wait until June 7 to learn the results, but without further ado, here they are: Donna Karan, Alexander Wang, and Marc Jacobs for Womenswear Designer of the Year. In the Menswear Designer of the Year category are Tom Ford, Michael Bastian, and David Neville and Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone. Fab favorite Alexis Bittar will be competing against Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Accessory Designer of the Year.

Michael Kors will have the honor of receiving The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, Burberry's Christopher Bailey will be awarded the International Award, and model Iman is getting the Fashion Icon Award. Finally, the late Alexander McQueen will receive the CFDA Board of Directors’ Special Tribute Award.

I asked you to help me put together a versatile work-to-bar outfit. My work wardrobe is totally casual; pretty much anything goes, as long as it's decent. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Celeb Style: Rihanna

While some of Rihanna's ensembles are strictly for the stage, this one can be easily re-created with a couple of basics. During her promotional tour, the singer landed in Germany for an autograph signing wearing a simple yet hard-core cutout LBD with a distressed spiked Blessed & Cursed denim jacket. Ferosh footwear continued her cutout theme, while a gold macho watch, studs, and chunky ring furthered her fire. Here's a hint: instead of spending major bucks on a designer jean jacket, go to your local craft store, pick up some spikes and studs, and DIY!

Nicky Hilton was seen leaving Fred Segal, Melrose looking stylish and colorful in a Yumi Kim tribal print blouse. Keeping things tonal, she wore gray ankle zip skinny jeans with bright purple suede pumps, adding a studded Alexander Wang duffel bag to tie it all together.
