Amy Winehouse Admitted to Hospital After Mixing Medication

Amy Winehouse was full of smiles on a night out in Camden with Tyler James on Saturday, but by Sunday she was in hospital. She reportedly spent last night at the London Clinic following doctor's orders after mixing her medication. A friend said Amy felt ill when she woke up on Sunday morning, adding: "Amy took over-the-counter stuff for a cold but it didn't agree with medication she takes for her on-going recovery... A doctor came to the house and advised her to go the hospital to make sure she was all right. She was due to stay the night." Latest reports say Amy should be fine, and she's apparently hoping to add to her surgical enhancements with a nose job plus bring out a doll of her new figure. Get well soon Amy!

It's true what they say about rehab turning your career around. From Kate Moss to Eva Mendes and now Amy Winehouse, it appears that getting contracts with designers simply involves agreeing to a short stay in rehab. Amy performed at a Fendi store opening during Paris Fashion Week at an event that was very over-subscribed. Now, following a tip off by Victoria Beckham who confesses to loving Amy's style, she may be about to sign a deal with Roberto Cavalli.

Cavalli has previously commented on Amy,

"She has a real sense of style that I love. She is a fashion icon because she is unique."

United Nations Says Stop Being Soft on Celebrity Drug Users

It's common knowledge that drug use often goes hand in hand with the celebrity lifestyle. Countless famous abusers check in to rehab, or even sing about it. Pictures of celebrity junkies using drugs are widely available in magazines or on the internet. But, is public airing of celebrities' habits too small a price to pay for breaking the law?

The UN's International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) thinks celebrity abusers are getting off too easily when it comes to criminal sentencing. In its annual report, the INCB maintains that when celebrities glamorize a drug-related lifestyle, it influences the youth, a group most vulnerable to celebrity culture.

The INCB is warning countries against disproportionately targeting low-level offenders. Instead, countries should go after high-profile users, as well as the criminal gangs fueling the drug trade.

Bored Amy Booed Off Stage at St Lucia Jazz Festival

Amy Winehouse swapped her bikini for a bright blue dress on Friday night as she performed at the St Lucia Jazz Festival. Unfortunately it was another shaky performance from Amy, whose strange behaviour began right at the start - check out video footage after the jump. Amy even reportedly told the crowd: "Sorry, I'm bored" as she started "Some Unholy War" but changed her mind and began "Back to Black" instead. The situation got so dire Amy left the stage halfway through, apparently being booed off stage amidst reports she was drinking heavily. Her spokesman insists the gig was abandoned because of bad weather, saying:

"Amy would like to express her disappointment that weather forced the abandonment of her show at the St Lucia Jazz Festival last night. The set started well, but as the heavens opened, a number of technical difficulties occurred on stage, culminating with the lighting rig failing for two songs. In addition, rain began to flood the technical wings at the side of the stage which caused sound problems. Amy and the band tried to soldier on but the set had to be cut short. Amy is very disappointed as St Lucia has been wonderful to her and its people have welcomed her with open arms, but circumstances beyond anyone’s control meant that this special show did not go as planned."

With this latest concerning news, and her recent collapse, it sounds like Amy is still suffering following all that drama with Blake. She's due to perform at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on 31 May, so let's hope she gets the help she needs on her return home.
