Angelina Jolie Warms Up

At last night's Inglourious Basterds premiere in LA, there was something different about Angelina Jolie's hair that I couldn't quite figure out. Obviously, she's lightened her locks considerably since her more goth-y days of years past, but after comparing photos from her red carpet appearance at Cannes back in May, it looks as if Angelina's warmed up those famous strands with a little touchup and softer, more-caramel/less-gold toner. While we've seen her in a light wig on the set of Salt earlier this year, and let's not forget her blond bob in Life or Something Like It, this version of a dark, honey-toned blond seems to be working for her, no? The change may be subtle, but it just goes to show you how a slight change can make a big difference.

It's hard knowing that many awesome styles on the red carpet are tricky to recreate at home without pricey extensions. Hard . . . but not impossible. Next up, for our latest how-to re-do, we tackled Angelina Jolie's pretty style from the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

My pal TeamSugar was craving this style so we reinterpreted it for her much shorter, all-natural hair. We took up a collection of bobby pins here at Sugar HQ, and made this wispy look with no gel or spray. See a picture of how it turned out and get my tips to create a similar look at home when you read more.

Slick all your hair back into a tight ponytail at the nape of your neck.
Divide out 1/4 of the hair in your ponytail and pull it aside. Loop the small section through the hair tie in the direction of the ponytail (this should create two equal little loops) and pin the excess.
Take the large section of hair and wrap it around the top and thread it through both loops. Chances are, if your hair is not halfway down your back, you'll run out of that loop before you make it as far as Angelina's. Just pull it through the loops and pin it wherever you end up.
For a sleek, polished look, finish up with hairspray.

Love It or Hate it? Angelina Jolie's Bouffant Button Updo

Last night at the Benjamin Button premiere in Berlin, Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet looking mature and demure with Brad on her arm. Covered from head to toe in cream, her hair was upswept and asymmetrical. One side was pulled back and pinned into a twist whilst the other side was bouffant and fitted in a loose wave. She pulled it off, but this matronly look definitely isn't my favourite style on her. What I did love, however, is that she's only wearing a single, lattice fishtail earring. It's both a fashion risk and an elegant statement piece What are your thoughts on Angelina's updo?

Cannes Angelina Jolie Pull Off a One-Sided, Half-Up Hairdo?

So far we've seen two beauty looks from Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival. The first was yesterday morning at the Kung Fu Panda photo call when she arrived wearing minimal makeup and her hair styled with one side half-up and half-down.

The second was last night at the Kung Fu Panda movie premiere. Her makeup was more defined and her hair was flowing long and loose. Both looks are beautiful on the glowing, growing star, yet I took a pregnant pause at the somewhat matronly, late '70s-inspired, one-sided style. Do you like this look on Angelina?

Do You Own a Wig?

It's hard to believe that someone with her gorgeous mane would ever feel the need to wear a wig, but it was actually her idea at the photo shoot. I don't own a wig, but I do like to wear my clip-on hair extensions as much as possible. Do you own a wig?

If you want to trick everyone into thinking that you have short hair this Halloween, or if you just like to play around with different styles without succumbing to scary scissors, this fabulous look is for you!

Last week's issue of Us Weekly featured a faux new 'do seen on Eva Longoria, Molly Sims and the newly blonde Nelly Furtado. Angelina Jolie is wearing this hairstyle on the set of her latest movie, Changeling, too.

STEP 1: Pull hair back into a low ponytail with a hair tie that blends in with the color of your hair. (Goody makes some inexpensive ones.)
STEP 2: Tuck the ponytail under and secure it with bobby pins to hold your hair firmly in place.
STEP 3: Next, pull a generous amount of hair from the tops and the sides to create the illusion that your hair is down.
STEP 4: Lastly, curl the loose hairs with a curling iron so they shorten and look more voluminous. Mist your entire head with hairspray and then loosely pin back any extra long hairs to create an overall shorter appearance!

When it comes to Angelina Jolie, most of you love her gorgeous hair and makeup choices, but are longing for her to change them up. Take her Golden Globes look and her Critics' Choice Awards style, for instance. Now, it looks like your wishes for some change have been granted.

Angelina chose a feminine side-swept French twist and smokier-than-usual eye makeup to contrast with her masculine suit at yesterday's Benjamin Button premiere in Berlin. What do you think of this look? Does her bouffant coif have flair or does it fall flat in your eyes?

Love It or Hate It? Angelina Jolie's Red Carpet Beauty Look

A stunningly beautiful Angelina Jolie wowed the crowds as she flirted with husband Brad Pitt at the Changeling premiere in New York, this weekend.

Her skin looked positively glowing and the coral cream blush shade looked beautiful against her olive skin tone. A classic makeup look meant Angelina went for dark kohl-rimmed eyes and neutral lips. It's nothing ground breaking, but she definitely knows what suits her.

Angelina's hair looked ultra glossy in film star waves. Plus the swept to one side look was typically seductive.

2009 Oscars: Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie doesn't stray too far from her tried-and-true look: black eyeliner, nude lips, and long hair. It's no surprise, then, that she chose her standby look for the Oscars. The earrings, however, add a fun burst of color that makes this look a little more memorable. There's no question that she's beautiful as ever, but do you wish she'd experimented with a different look for the Oscars?
