There were many gorgeous fashions on display last night on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards. In the first installment of our look at what the ladies wore there was a lot of black or white, but not at all basic — Amy Poehler went dark, January Jones picked a light color with a daring cutout bodice, and Chloe Sevigny had a little bit of both worlds with her polka dot number. Right now January has a slight lead in Fab's best dressed poll — who do you think deserves the title?

Joshua Jackson was up bright and early in NYC yesterday to attend the Fox Upfronts presentation. Fringe has already been renewed for another season but you can check out the full Fall schedule here and get a peek at some of the new shows. Other Fox stars like David Boreanaz and Gordon Ramsay joined in the party — even Kiefer Sutherland came by and made an awkward joke on stage about his arrest last week.

Joshua Jackson looked gorgeous at the Fringe screening at the Paley Festival in Hollywood last night. He joined costars Anna Torv and John Noble plis J.J. Abrams and the producers to chat about the show.

Fox's Fringe returns tonight at long last, after almost two months off the air. But viewers shouldn't worry about being lost when the show returns — at least according to Anna Torv, who plays Olivia Dunham. Torv hopped on the phone with reporters last week to talk about what's coming up for the rest of Fringe's season, what we'll learn about her character's past, and whether she'll ever hook up with Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson).

Joshua Jackson got to work filming Fringe in NYC yesterday. As the show starts winding down for the season, Josh can look forward spending more quality time with Diane. He has often expressed his warm feelings toward his girlfriend, and in a recent interview he continued to spout his love for her and made fun of himself for being so intense.

On this week's Fringe, we finally learn a little more about Olivia, whose private life has been mostly a big void until now. Also, a lot of living things explode, so if you haven't watched yet, I recommend you don't do so with food. Overall, I thought this was one of the stronger episodes of the series.

After a debate-related break, Fringe returned with an episode that falls somewhere between the first three installments and the especially eerie fourth episode. We're back to a mystery Walter can solve and a case with obvious implications — but there's enough creepy stuff going on with Olivia and Agent Scott, and enough hints about the greater story of the show, that it kept my interest. If nothing else, Fringe certainly seems to have its mood down pat.

JJ Abrams' new sci-fi series Fringe, starring Anna Torv, John Noble and my favourite Joshua Jackson, started on Sunday on Sky One. We're lagging behind the States (as usual, gah), but our friends across the pond are only a few episodes ahead of us. My girl Buzz has got the lowdown on the opening episode and I want to know your thoughts, so tell me: will you be watching Fringe?

Just when I was afraid Fringe was getting too formulaic — already — the show delivered an episode that broke the mold. The mystery isn't tidily wrapped up at the end, the good vs. evil of Massive Dynamic isn't even a subplot, and Peter Bishop's actually given a reason to stick around!

The third episode of Fringe delivered a new mystery while nudging the overall story arc forward just a bit. I'm starting to get a handle on the basic structure of the show, and I'm not sure it's going to work for me long-term — it seems like in their efforts to deliver a less-confusing show, JJ Abrams and company might have made things too simple. Then again, maybe I'm just being lulled into a false sense of understanding so that three episodes from now, some major world-changing event can come along and shake things up.
