Last night Anne-Marie Duff attended the 2009 Empire Film Awards and used the occasion to showcase her new haircut. The Scottish beauty has had a heavy fringe chopped in to her golden locks which she wore up with a few loose tendrils. She has changed her hair quite frequently recently switching from soft waves, to sleek and straight to a side fringe.

British stars were a bit scarce on the red carpet for last night's Oscars but it was great to see Anne-Marie Duff with her husband James McAvoy. Duff looked amazing in a full length navy blue tiered dress. I really like the colour and think it looks great on her, what do you think?

I've loved this gorgeous couple ever since they starred together in Shameless – they're so low-key and down to earth.

The accolades just keep on coming for James, who attended the ceremony with wife Anne-Marie Duff: not only is he to receive a Fellowship from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow next month (his old drama school), he's also nominated for Best European Actor for Atonement at this year's European Film Awards. As if that all that isn't enough, James will be walking the boards early next year alongside Nigel Harman in Three Days of Rain at London's Apollo Theatre.
