It's harvest time for apples and pears, and nothing says Autumn like warm crisp featuring both Fall fruits. Here is a variation of a recipe from RecipeZaar. I substituted a few things like Sucanat for brown sugar, whole wheat flour for all-purpose flour, and Earth Balance margarine in place of butter.

The classic pork chops and applesauce go sophisticated with this recipe. Instead of bone-in pork chops and pureed apples, it employs boneless pork loin and whole Granny Smith apples.
The apples are sautéed until soft and the pork is topped with a simple pan sauce.

This October, instead of being bummed about Summer's departure, I've decided to get excited for Fall. I've changed the background on my phone to an image of autumnal flowers, I've searched FabSugar for Fall-look inspiration, I've decorated my house with white pumpkins, and most importantly, I've starting sipping this apple cocktail.
Apples are a quintessential ingredient at this time of year, thus a stimulating concoction made with apple cider and dark rum seems seasonally appropriate.

Fall is officially here and that means it's apple season. Take a trip to your local orchard and pick a peck of McIntosh, Cortland, or Empire apples and give this recipe a try. With chunks of apples, oats, flax meal, and walnuts, these are packed with fiber and a taste that'll warm your soul.

Browsing TeamSugar the other day, I was absolutely taken by a Fall recipe. This apple butter was created by Kitchen Goddess founder, Twinkle, when she wasn't able to locate any apple butter in her adopted homeland, Finland. Since she is a domestic divinity, she took matters into her own hands and came up with an original recipe.

Not only is my annual pumpkin carving party about creating cool pumpkins, it's also about celebrating the flavors of Fall.
To get people in the mood to party, I'll be pouring a potent punch made from pear nectar and sparkling apple cider. It's fruity, bubbly, and refreshing — what more could you ask for in a punch?

I was checking out the recipes in the Kitchen Goddess group, when I saw this one from TeamSugar member ashleyk4214. Her recipe is for a simple dessert, but unique dessert. Not any old apple dumplings, these ones are made with Mountain Dew!

I was looking through the posts on the Food and Entertaining Channel and came across a cake that I thought a lot of you would enjoy. TeamSugar member elleisa recently shared her recipe for a simple Cinnamon Apple Cake. You might enjoy it because it whips up in absolutely no time.

Since Fall is a time when the weather is often warm in the day, but cooler at night, for my Autumnal lunch, I plan on serving a dessert that is both hot and cold in temperature. A semifreddo is an Italian dessert that is partially frozen.
While there are many variations, the one I'll offer guests is a luxurious mixture of almonds and heavy cream.
