Christina Applegate shined on the red carpet at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She looked classic Hollywood in her long, ethereal Roberto Cavalli dress and a silver clutch that sparkled as much as her glamorous jewels. Although her dress isn't available online, this one by Alberta Ferretti is a great option in a different color, so be sure to check it out now along with other like items!

When the new guidelines for breast exams came out late last year, I admit that I was surprised. They were announced just as National Breast Cancer Awareness month was ending: women in their 40s should no longer have annual mammograms, and women between the ages of 50-74 should have one exam every other year. The United States Preventive Services Task Force also recommended that doctors stop teaching women how to examine their own breasts.

This week I caught Samantha Who star Christina Applegate on The Jay Leno Show, and she shared a little geeky secret about herself — she's a recovering Guitar Hero addict! Not only did she admit to using the game to kill time on the set of Samantha Who, but she also got an ocular migraine from "playing too many songs in a row." When Jay asked if her boyfriend (who is a professional guitar player) is impressed with her GH-playing talents, she responded by saying: "It's just pressing buttons, it's not a skill, it's just coordination."

Olivia Wilde struck a pose this afternoon at the Power of Women luncheon in LA, while elsewhere the news broke that her costar Jennifer Morrison will be leaving their series House. Olivia was joined by a fresh-off-the-Emmys-red-carpet January Jones, along with Anne Hathaway and AnnaLynne McCord. Christina Aguilera was also in attendance, as her husband Jordan Bratman dared to be one of the few guys in the room.

At age 36, a double mastectomy may seem extreme treatment for breast cancer, but as Christina Applegate explained on the Oprah Winfrey Show, her genes were stacked against her.
Applegate's mother survived breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease back in the '70s. Having a female relative with breast cancer greatly increases a woman's risk for developing the disease, which is why Christina has been getting mammograms since she was 30 years old.

The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink.

There's nothing I like more than seeing Hollywood folk get together for a good cause. Last night in LA at the Rock a Little, Feed A Lot benefit concert, Courteney Cox stayed on trend in a purple long-sleeve minidress; Isla Fisher kept it rad in a leather mini and tie-dye tee; Katherine McPhee was rocker hotness in a vest and booties; Jenna Dewan showed off her metallic bold shoulders; and Christina Applegate posed in an easy, pirate-inspired getup. They all look fresh in their own way; which look do you prefer?

At last year's awards, Christina Applegate went for bold, red lips and va-voom hair, but this year, it's all about the soft touches. Instead of a tight, pulled-back bun, Christina's hair is styled in a loose, low-slung chignon, and her makeup, while heavy-handed for the camera's flashes, is peaches-and-cream all the way. She's up for an Emmy tonight for her work on the now defunct Samantha Who?, but when it comes to her beauty choices this evening, are you thinking, "Who's that girl?"
