While running errands in her native hometown of Sydney, Australia, she cranked up the fashion factor by pairing a blazer and tee with a vivacious cat print mini. Genius. These savage minis - whether lush leopard, cheetah, or tiger prints - add the ideal dose of animal instinct, and look best paired with loose casual tops. Just look at Miranda for inspiration; you know I will.

Ashish Sequined One-Shoulder Dress: Love It or Hate It?

If you're looking to score four trends with one dress this Ashish One-Shoulder Dress ($895) is the way to go. One-shoulder. Animal print. Sequins. Mini. Check. But, I'm tripping over the neon green hue. A little iguana-esque, no? I'd be all over it in navy. What do you think?

A Fabby Halloween: The Flintstones

The Flintstones would be so proud to see how their Stone Age fashions have influenced some of fashion's best. Peep Jeremy Scott's Spring '10 collection to see what I'm talking about. The quirky designer featured an awe-inspiring line based off the hit '60s cartoon complete with bone barrettes, bright colors, and animal prints. No doubt, Wilma and Betty would be super stoked to wear his kitschy confections. Thankfully, you don't have to buy designer to achieve the Flintstones' archaic look. Seek animal prints, faux-fur vests, and natural chunky jewelry for sexy Stone Age appeal - Wilmaaaaa!

Trend Alert: Sequin Dresses

There are literally sequins everywhere at the moment. They're adorning blazers and leggings, but also in a more appropriate form on dresses. Sequins make the perfect partywear, especially if you plan on hitting the dancefloor.

Ashish lead the way for sparkly dresses as his collection drew from a vast palette of colours and applique! The style has since been taken on by the High Street where you can find strapless dresses (£50), one shoulder (£48) and cowl neck (£120) designs.

There are so many great colours that you can definitely have fun with this trend. Have you bought a sequined dress yet?

London Fashion Week A/W 2009: Ashish

Ashish has quickly become the hot ticket of London Fashion Week. He has dazzled (literally) the fashion crowd with his love of sequins resulting in more hype than ever for the Autumn '09 collection. V.V. Brown confirmed her love for the designer by performing alongside the catwalk at the Hippodrome in Leicester Square.

The collection was a lot of fun with the brightest colour palette you could imagine, American themed pieces and more animal print than Pat Butcher's wardrobe! There was also a fair amount of pom-poms alongside the clashing prints. Admittedly the catwalk styling may make the pieces look a bit overwhelming but the individual items are sure to be a hit.

Amidst the current financial depression it's great to see a designer having so much fun with fashion. There was definitely a carnival/circus vibe emphasised by pre-show entertainment in the way of circus performers.

Even if the looks appear garish right now, you're sure to see these garments on the London party season over the next year, but will the technicolour lips catch on as well? I'm already seeking out a pair of animal print tights and I'm hoping he does a version of the piano skirt for his Topshop diffusion line, otherwise I better start saving now... Bargain Party Dresses

There are plenty of sales going on this year with Selfridges reportedly taking £1 million in it's first hour of sales trading! Despite this there are still plenty of bargains to be found and just in time for that New Years party. The net-a-porter sale started on 27th December offering designer bargains by the likes of Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs and Roberto Cavalli. I found this cute sparkly dress by Marc by Marc Jacobs (left) reduced to just £299 (down from £499). If you're looking for something slightly cheaper then this tweed evening dress from Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti is down to £180 at mywardrobe.com. Still cheaper still is a sparkly bargain from Topshop's designer collaboration range. The blue sequin mini dress is by Ashish for Topshop and reduced by 50% to £60.

Celebrity Style: Diana Vickers in Ashish

I must admit that I haven't been an avid viewer of The X Factor but I have been keeping my eye on the most stylish of this season; Diana Vickers. From her big hair to her cricket jumpers to her rock chick style she's definitely made an impression on the fashion world if not the music one too. This week she took to the stage (sadly for the final time) to sing Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" in a funky Ashish sequin shift dress (£624). She teamed it with chunky gold jewellery and black boots.

Americans celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday and this usually acts as a marker for the beginning of the festive season. Now obviously we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK but that doesn't mean we can't start to indulge in our festive wardrobe with a sequin or two?

Sequins are always perfect for a Christmas party but this season why not up your game slightly by including sequins in your daytime ensemble? There's nothing like a glittery scarf to brighten up a grey day or even a sequined waistcoat. Most of you loved these sequined leggings but this pair are a bargain at just £20.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Ashish

There was a distinct American vibe to the opening of this collection shown on the last day of Spring 2009 London Fashion Week. It began with a military feel with camouflage pieces that were made glamorous with a lot of sequins.

Certain glossy magazines this month have declared the end of grunge, but with collections like this it seems fashion's love affair with grungey dressing is never quite over. However, for Spring Ashish has merged the grunge trend with the current penchant for texture creating it with badges, sequins and patches.

There was a gambling theme with dice and playing card imagery throughout teamed with '90s stone washed denim. Sequined flapper-style dresses hung beautifully with opened backs and long scarf-like batwings trailing behind.

It was an experimental yet wearable line, with dresses that were designed for the red carpet. These dresses were styled with khaki parka jackets for a dressed-down Brit pop look. For me, the collection was one of the highlights of the week. What do you think?
