Ashlee's Simpson not in L.O.V.E.

Ashlee and her band mate boyfriend Braxton Olita, have decided to take a break. Her rep confirmed with US Weekly that the two broke up about a week ago, which explains why Ms. Simpson has been spotted getting cozy with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. Apparently the two were all over each other except when Ash had to head to the bathroom to puke. How punk of her. Radar reports:

MisShapes' already tenuous claim to edginess went out the window Saturday when Jessica and Ashlee Simpson invaded the much-mocked hipster dance party. Jessica was dateless-alleged boyfriend John Mayer was nowhere to be seen-while Ashlee was accompanied by Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, whom she proceeded to straddle, according to a fellow reveler. Partying with an actual rock star apparently proved too much for young Ashlee, who had to excuse herself to vomit. Management kindly blocked off the bathroom to let her retch in peace ...

Ashlee Simpson Gets Pink for Victoria's Secret

I apologize in advance for the Monday morning double Simpson post. I could not resist the most recent Ashlee story. Apparently she is moving up and in with her latest boyfriend. I guess the virginity rule Daddy Simpson had Jessica follow does not apply for Ashlee. The bigger news is that the younger Simpson sister seems to have landed a pretty big gig to become the face of a new younger line for Victoria's Secret. The Gatecrasher reports:

Things are sure looking up for Ashlee Simpson.

West Coast spies say she's selling her Encino home to move in with boyfriend Braxton Olita. (Young Braxton, who plays guitar in her shows, has also graduated from sleeping in the band tour bus to bedding down in Ashley's own private coach, I hear.)

She ought to be able to afford some flashy new digs. It will soon be announced that the 21-year-old will front the campaign for Victoria's Secret's new line, Pink. She beat out finalist Kelly Clarkson to become the face (and hips and legs and … well, everything else) of the new line of younger, "cuter" lingerie.

Jessica Cheers on Tony While Ashlee Has Labor False Alarm

Jessica Simpson showed off her Cowboys pride stopping off at the supermarket in LA yesterday. She may not have been able to be there in person to see Tony Romo's return to the field last night after his broken pinky, but she must have been cheering loud to see her boyfriend bring his team a win. Jessica had good reason for missing the game - this weekend Ashlee supposedly had labor false alarm but is back home with no new addition yet. It can't be too much longer before the newest Simpson-Wentz arrives, but until then Jessica's on hand to welcome what will become the world's newest Cowboys fan if she can help it.

Ashlee Talks Music, Touring, Mottos and Politics

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were attached at the hip, or hand, out to lunch yesterday afternoon before getting dressed up for last night's big Cloverfield premiere (she liked it). It couldn't have been too too late of a night for the adorable duo, however, because Ashlee was perfectly peppy and happy to chat this afternoon when Pop and I got her on the phone. We'll be bringing you more details from our conversation soon (thank you so much for all the questions!), but in the meantime here's a taste of what we got to talking about with Miss Simpson.

Ashlee was all about her new single and upcoming album (end of March) and is excited to start out soon on her promotional club tour before her real tour with the band. She was also happy to impart her personal mottos - "go to bed happy and content with who you are" - and laughed as she told us that if her life had gone differently she would have been a hair colorist. We also got the chance (there's much more coming, don't worry) to ask about Pete's upcoming Barack Obama fund-raiser next week in Chicago. She won't be able to make it, but she's very supportive of her boyfriend's project. Overall the most important thing is that she sounded happy - yay. More to come from our interview soon...

Ashlee Cleans Up Well

Ashlee's style has been a bit back and forth these days. When getting cozy with boyfriend Pete in Las Vegas they were wearing matching hoodies and barely looked showered. Yet here at the opening of Runway Lounge in New York Ashlee looks cute again (we are looking past the fact that she looked like a totally different person 2 years ago). We prefer Ashlee looking cute and flirty but we're betting it doesn't last long. Her man Pete is in New York too.

Little Miss Ashlee Shows Off Her Bittersweet Side

Ashlee Simpson continued on her one-woman promotional tour, stopping by the Walmart in Bensalem, PA yesterday afternoon to have a meet and greet with her fans. Her sidekick/boyfriend/twinsie/future husband (?) Pete was not by her side, but I'm sure they'll be reunited soon enough (don't seem to spend more than a minute or two apart these days). No worries, however, because it looks like Ashlee got custody of the flat iron for the day - and I'm sure she's excited to hear about her man's plans to open a hair salon in Chicago. While Ashlee will certainly be first in line to get her locks cut at Clandestine Industries salon, she's got her own projects to focus on for now. Her album Bittersweet World hits stores April 22.

Jess and Ash's Boots Were Made For Birthdays With the Boys

The Simpson girls and their men got an early start on celebrating Jessica's 28th birthday this Thursday with dinner out at Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas, CA, last night. Both Jessica and Ashlee had on their cowboy boots, though Jess stole the show with her b-day girl party dress and her real life Cowboy Tony holding her hand. I'm thinking no margaritas for Ashlee this time, but hopefully Jess celebrated with a few - she's got a lot to be happy about these days as a future aunt with a hot boyfriend who makes her happy and a country album on the way that's already getting some good reviews. Plus, seeing how rowdy things got at Tony's b-day, he's probably got some fun planned for her this week.

Jessica's Family Thanksgiving

It was a family affair for the Simpson's this weekend. It was just another Thanksgiving as usual with her grandparents in Waco. Even Ashlee's new boyfriend joined the gang for a traditional turkey dinner. Star interviewed Ashlee and her band member boyfriend Ray. They reported:

"We didn't even talk about Jessica's breakup from Nick; it wasn't something we wanted to dwell on. Jessica's happy and she's absolutely fine.

"I had a great Thanksgiving with Ashlee's family," Ray tells Star. "It was a typical dinner with turkey and all the trimmings and there was more food than anybody could eat!

"Jessica's doing great, the whole family had a really lovely time. Nick wasn't even mentioned, in fact, if truth be told, he's not really been a topic of conversation for some time now."

Star also reports on Nick. Apparently a source told them:

"He's feeling pretty sad at the moment but totally relieved as well. Joe Simpson probably wanted the two of them to stay married but neither Nick nor Jessica wanted to anymore. In the end I hear Nick just told Jessica that 'enough is enough, I just can't do this anymore.'"

At least Jessica is still getting some love from Daisy these days. Also here's a pic of Pimp Daddy Joe at the corner store in TX probably doing damage PR control with the big news they dropped on us this weekend.
