Japan is known for its zany game shows and TV antics, but this Asics shoe commercial is just low. These pervs don't even show the shoes in action. Some women are pretty particular about the brand of sneaker they wear. Whether you choose because of the style, fit, comfort, activity level, or price, nothing beats a great pairs of kicks.

So, what's your favorite brand? Do you love Brooks because they have sneakers with great arch support? Or maybe you have really narrow feet, so New Balance sneaks fit you snug as a bug.

Favorite Sneaker of 2008

What you wear on your feet when you run or exercise impacts the rest of your body; it is no small decision. As part of our Best of 2008 series, we asked about sneakers and wanted to know your favorite.

The votes are in and you chose Asics as the number one sneaker. While, Nike and New Balance tied for second and third place, Asics beat them out of the winning spot with a fairly large margin. Now you know your favorite sneaker, get out there and run!

Choosing a sneaker you run or exercise in is a big decision. If you find a brand that you like, and it fits well and prevents foot pain, it's a good idea to stick with it. On the other hand, if your sneakers are causing blisters or any other painful condition, you may want to think about switching to a different brand.

There are so many kinds of sneakers out there. It looks like Fitsugar readers love Asics sneakers as their number one brand, with New Balance in second place. I thought more people would have voted for Brooks, but I guess it's totally personal preference, and when you find what you like, there's really no reason to buy anything else.
