Athleta Yoga Jeans: Cool or Not?

Sporty and causal clothes retailer Athleta usually hits the fashion mark, but I am not sure about the Bettona Bermuda, now $35 marked down from $54. Styled to look like jeans, rivets and all, these long shorts are intended for yoga practice. Made from stretchy fabric to ease into yoga poses, these shorts even have a faux fly. While I am fine, with black cotton leggings for my practice I wonder what you all think.

One of my longtime favorite brands, Athleta, is now on ShopStyle. Not only can you create different looks in ShopStyle, which is fun to do with all of Athleta's mix and match swimwear, but you can create sale alerts for specific items or the entire brand. I need to have my ears covered up when I am running in the cold. I can be a little chilly everywhere else on my body, but my ears start to hurt after just a few minutes of running in the cold, especially if the wind is blowing.

What better way to head back to school than on a bike! Jorg and Olif have just introduced their latest city bike - the Scout ($495). Cruise around town in style on the limited edition red bike.
When tooling about town on your retro bicycle, you are going to want to protect your laptop as well as your back, by carrying all your gear in the Kata Ergo-Tech Sensitivity V backpack ($85) by Kata. You should also start thinking about moving some of your workouts inside and if you are a cardio junkie you need to also start thinking about adding weight training into your routine. I say this because the new exercise guidelines suggest adding 2 days of strength training a week. Look for circuit training group classes where you can get your heart rate up while you build some muscle. Or create you own!

I am always on the lookout for cute running skirts. They are just so cute, while being so practical. This Chase Skort by Athleta is a little more like a running mini - it has a 4 inch inseam.
