Model of the Week: Cheyenne Tozzi

You may recognize Australian model Cheyenne Tozzi from Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Australia. The Tozzi family (mother and former model Yvonne, and daughters Tahyna and Cheyenne), used their good genes to become the faces for the campaign.

Cheyenne is the youngest Tozzi at 19 years old. Known as "The Next Elle McPherson," she graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar Australia at age 13. The 5'10" model's portfolio also consists of a televised Just Jeans campaign, print ads for Bonds Australia, Jets Swimwear, Newport News, Spiegel, and many magazine editorials. She is now represented by IMG Models, Storm Models, and Priscillas Models Management.

What is the most memorable show you walked in?
I did the Miami [Fashion Week] shows this year with my best friend, and we had a laugh. I guess if you don't take it seriously you end up having a great time.

If your house was burning down and you could only save one clothing item, what would it be and why?
Just one? That's not fair. If I had to choose, my Stella McCartney jeans.

What is one destination you still need a stamp for on your passport?
I would love to go to Japan. All I do is eat Japanese food and it just seems like a crazy but beautiful place.

Who are your favorite designers?
I love Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, BCBG, D&G, and Chloe.

What are three words that describe your personal style?
Fresh, easy, clean.

Sometimes a man's fashion sense can get in the way of his natural sexiness. And apparently, bad fashion can also cause violence. Last week we heard that a popular nightclub in Australia banned certain clothing (think Ed Hardy tops and popped collars) because that style of dress was causing bar fights. I asked all of you to share the styles you'd like to ban, and you guys reached a consensus that a variety of trends had to go. Trend Alert! Va-Va-Va Volume at Australia Fashion Week

Those Aussies have sure got the beachy sex kitten thing down, eh, mate? At the Rosemount Australia fashion week, tousled, voluminous hair was all over the catwalks. At Wayne Cooper, hair went completely vertical in a range of poufy, sky-high updos. Over at Hotel Bondi, hair was fluffed in the back and sleek straight in the front, making for a Brigitte Bardot-esque look. At Nicola Finetti, hair was soft and full, accented by groovy pastel eye shadows.

Maximizing your own volume potential is no small feat. The quickest and most surefire way is by teasing freshly blown-out hair. A word of warning–this isn't great for your hair follicles, but as long as you do it only once in awhile, you should be fine. For a gentler option, try Frederic Fekkai Full Volume Mousse ($20). Just a dollop of foam worked through the roots of wet hair adds instant oomph to a blow-dry.

Fab Flash: Model Too Young For Aussie Fashion Week

She was set to be the face of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week in September, but now Melbourne City Council is saying that 15-year-old Claire Quirk is too young. Councillor Fiona Snedden objected to the choice of such a young girl: "I have a fundamental issue about this. There needs to be a time when we stop and say, 'Is it wrong to have models this young?'"

The Australian Fashion Council supports the restrictions on models younger than 16 working at big fashion shows, saying younger teenagers were ill-equipped to face issues such as sexualisation, alcohol, and rejection. This move follows the recommendation last week by the British Model Health Inquiry that models under 16 be banned from London Fashion Week.

Alexander McQueen's Virtual Runway Show

Alexander McQueen is taking the virtual world by storm. In addition to tweeting funny messages like "I'm at the dentist . . . about to go under the knife!," the designer has announced, via Twitter, that he will be streaming his Spring collection Oct. 6 runway show at Paris Fashion Week live at AlexanderMcQueen.com and AlexanderMcqueenLive.showstudio.com - no tickets necessary. McQueen is collaborating with Nick Knight’s SHOWStudio.com. Knight divulged robot cameras will be at work on and off the catwalk, and in the audience, while, at the back of the runway, an LED screen will beam out the roving cameras’ images. So cool.

Why? Why ask why? McQueen explains, “Every year, buyers and the press come to see the spectacle of my show. But I want to generate something else, something for a wider audience - for people in Australia, Asia, and Middle America who don’t have a seat at the show. Really, what I’m aiming for is world domination!” McQueen devotees: set your calendar!

Are You Excited For The X Factor This Weekend?

After weeks of seeing the judges at the auditions, and various rumours, both confirmed and unconfirmed, The X Factor finally kicks off this weekend!! We'll get our first glimpse at the auditions on Saturday night, with judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh putting the hopefuls through their paces, while host Dermot O'Leary and ITV2's Holly Willoughby look on. Dannii's in Australia at the moment and was spotted at a fashion show yesterday, but - while the judges go their separate ways for a while - are you excited for this weekend's The X Factor?

Fashion Week Attendees Will Go to Extremes For Beauty

The fashion week crowd made their way to Milan's Palazzina della Ragione last night for the "Extreme Beauty" bash following Dolce & Gabbana's star-studded runway presentation earlier in the day. Scarlett Johansson arrived on the designers' arms, while other ladies like Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes and Freida Pinto walked the red carpet solo. David Beckham looked hot as ever and Orlando Bloom braved the scene on his own, looking quite happy following his PDA-filled vacation in Australia with Miranda. Kate Hudson's main man Owen Wilson was off in London, but she brought along her younger brother Wyatt for the fancy night out. Some Fashion Week parties have been more subdued than usual this year but leave it to D&G to get an A-List turnout.
