Fab Flash: Kimora Lee Simmons Unveils Her Fabulosity

In an attempt to get in with the in crowd, JCPenney has teamed up with Baby Phat founder Kimora Lee Simmons, in launching her exclusive juniors line, Fabulosity. The brand will encompass the same trendy elements as its sister label but at lower price points, between $29 to $108, in comparison to Baby Phat's $30 to $200 range.

"The Fabulosity girl is fun, fashionable and chic, but she doesn't want to spend her last penny on something to wear. This collection is fashionable, but also affordable. The days of spending tons on clothes are gone - I mean, I still do it, but young girls can't," said Simmons. Kimora also expressed interest in expanding Fabulosity into a full-lifestyle collection, comparable to Baby Phat's, adding shoes, accessories, handbags, and a home collection.

Offerings of skinny denim, blouses, knit tops, and dresses are currently available online and will be sold in stores this month.

Britney's Baby Phat

Britney decided to steal Kimora Lee's spotlight at the Baby Phat Fashion Week show last night in NYC. Spears was dressed in all black to match her new hair and while she was wearing underwear apparently the top half didn't stay in her dress the entire night. She sat in the front row close to Alicia Keys while watching and clapping as the models strutted down the catwalk. When asked how she was enjoying her new single life she replied, "It's awesome." Guess this means she doesn't want Kevin back. Let's hope this is one step closer to her comeback.

Return of the Fanny Pack: Love It or Hate It?

Believe it or not, the fanny pack is back. That is, if Baby Phat's Spring 2007 runway show at Fashion Week is any indication. Sure, it's a little bit sleeker, and the leather belt pouch is a far cry from the nylon zippered version. But it's still a fanny pack. What do you guys think? Love it or hate it?

Welcome to the first of Fabsugar's runway reviews from New York Fashion Week, which officially kicked off on Friday. One of the first and flashiest shows: BabyPhat by Kimora Lee Simmons. Like most events held by the sister label to Phat Farm, the unveiling of the Spring 2007 event was a celebrity magnet, attended by Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Lil' Kim, Brandy, and, of course 50 Cent, who ended up in a front-row scuffle.

As for the clothes, the styles were in keeping with Baby Phat's usual high-end hip-hop vibe, with some notable twists, like lattice-work midrifts and dolman-sleeve tops. Mary-Kate and Lauren Keep the Fashionable Week Going

The Fashion Week glamour is moving right along, with more star-studded front rows. Lauren Conrad switched gears from working on her own collection to see Nanette Lepore this afternoon, while Leighton Meester stepped out for 3.1 Phillip Lim. Mary-Kate Olsen, meanwhile, was on hand last night for the latest of Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld's art parties, helping when someone fainted while Rachel Zoe kept an eye on Brad Goreski on the dance floor. Rachel then moved on to a party at the Museum of Modern Art with Josh Hartnett and Bar Refaeli, who you guys don't seem to think has found a match in Chace Crawford.

Welcome to the first of several sexy scents that will be featured this week. This fab fragrance is divalicious, and promises to make you feel like a golden goddess. I am not talking about Cate Blanchett at the 2007 SAG Awards, I am talking about the saucy and sexy perfume by Kimora Lee Simmons called, Golden Goddess, $52.
This scent must be modeled after its maker, Kimora Lee Simmons; it's glamorous, golden and is adorned with lots of bling! It evokes feelings of champagne wishes and caviar dreams.

The smell is derived from top notes of actual champagne, seringa, blue lilies, night orchid, chocolate and caramel gourmand, vanilla flower patchouli and vetiver. It has a moderate scent strength and should stay on anywhere from six to ten hours.

The faceted bottle was inspired by Kimora's adoration of the rare and prized canary-yellow diamond. It even comes with a faux canary-yellow diamond ring that is atop the neck of the bottle...how fun! It is also available in a shimmering body lotion for $45.

I would not be surprised if she started selling the tank this spring as part of her new collection. I'm sure she'd love to see little girls wearing her mug-shot - such a good role model.

Kimora Lee SImmons Tweets It's a Boy!

Who needs formal baby announcements when technology is at our fingertips? Kimora Lee Simmons may be famous for her fabulosity, reality show and close relationship with her daughters, Ming Lee, 9, and Aoki Lee, 6, but the over-the-top mama just welcomed a baby boy with Djimon Hounsou. The mother of three took to twitter to tell fans she was having contractions, headed to the hospital and then to make the announcement. The official Baby Phat page said:

It's a boy! Thanks to everyone out there for all your well wishes! More to come. Thank God. And God Bless! Kimora + Djimon Love & Light, KLS
