After months of heated anticipation, I've finally had the blessing to read Bazaar Style, an interior design book from beloved Designer Spotlight, stylist Selina Lake, interiors writer Joanna Simmons, and interiors photographer Debi Treloar, which was just released in April. Chock full of salivating images of homes furnished with French flea market and Moroccan bazaar finds, alongside modern design classics, big-box buys, and inherited antiques, the book will reveal the potential in your beat-up furniture and a can of
paint, inspire you to paint the surround of a window to frame the view, and liberate you to break conventions, be it by setting your table with mismatched china, or duct taping fresh flowers to the wall. While the photography alone would be enough to sell me on this title, unlike some of its contemporaries, the ratio of editorial advice to image content is not negative, let alone meager; Lake and Simmons have channeled their industry expertise into hundreds of tips, suggestions, and solutions for achieving this unprecedented style in your home. While the bazaar look fully embraces welcoming street and thrift-store finds under your roof, it isn't necessarily about buying everything cheaply. The key is that mixing layered flea-market purchases, unique pieces picked up during your travels, and a single crave-worthy modern splurge will elevate an entire room to new heights of chic — a point proved page after page seeing real homes furnished with this in mind. Words of bazaar style wisdom range from the narrow, "Pasting wallpaper to tired kitchen units and a plain white fridge — and inexpensive — way to give them a colorful new look," to the broad, "reduce visual shock by finding one unifying element." But, Bazaar Style itself is divided into broad themes, explaining elements such as furniture, textiles, lighting, accessories, display, and color, then going on to show how a particular style works in kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, and home offices. Kristen Keeps Her Pants up in Mexico With Taylor

Kristen Stewart looked snazzy in her suspenders, rolled-up jeans, and blazer while posing at a photo call with Taylor Lautner in Mexico City today. The two have already been quite the jet-setting duo promoting New Moon, but aren't causing the same level of frenzy that Robert Pattinson has been in Japan. Today we got a sneak peek at Kristen trading in her casual style for formal wear in her Harper's Bazaar shoot with Rob. Taylor Launter looks happy being the one on Kristen's arm at the moment, since their relationship is the center of the film, but we're also wondering if he'll be back with his girl Taylor Swift to make a cameo on her SNL this weekend. The Twilight cast will be in LA on Saturday for their press day - don't forget to leave questions for the stars all week long for a chance to win!

Cool Idea: Patchwork Wallpapering

This feminine bedroom, styled by Bazaar Style author and stylist Selina Lake, was featured in BBC Homes and Antiques magazine.

I love how a patchwork of vintage wallpapers was used to create this feminine boudoir background. Not only does it give the room a nostalgic, period look, but since it really only requires wallpaper samples, it's also a very affordable. Furthermore, you don't have to be in love with each wallpaper because the patchwork effect overrides the dated look of the individual designs. There's strength in numbers!

Tina Fey Says No to Working Out

In the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, funny woman Tina Fey reveals that she doesn't work out - at all. Looking at 39-year-old Fey I would not have guessed that she stays away from the gym. She's slim and carries herself with style and sex appeal. It's also surprising to hear that any woman working in an industry driven in large part by image is able to escape having a personal trainer.

When asked why she stays away from the gym, it comes down to not enough time in her day. The woman is busy, very busy. She's got a hit show to write, is a wife and mother, and is an Emmy-award-winning actress.

"Work, come home, play, kid bounce, work again, go to bed." She has thought about yoga, even done it a couple times. "But," she notes, "even yoga classes go on 80 or 90 minutes." The ethos of Gwyneth Paltrow or Madonna, with their two hours plus of bendiness a day, is not for Tina. "You will still die," she observes. "I'll do grave yoga. Someone can come and stretch me in my grave."

Tina explains her relationship to the business of celebrity this way:

"I like to delude myself that I'm in the old-Hollywood mode. I just tailor my clothes well and try to keep my skin clear. While it would be great to work out an hour a day, there is something inherently sort of selfish about it. I can't do it."

Despite not working out, the actress does focus on maintaining a healthy diet. At the age of 29, Fey dropped an astounding 35 pounds after going on Weight Watchers. The actress describes it as a time in her life where she learned to eat properly, something she still continues to do.

Funny woman Tina Fey took a break from her busy filming schedule to pose for the November issue of Harper's Bazaar. Tina recently finished shooting Date Night with Steve Carell and has been hard at work on the upcoming season of Emmy-winning 30 Rock - which premieres next week, get a peek at it now. Inside the magazine she gives her humorous take on being a working mom, yoga and keeping up appearances. Here are highlights:

On working out: "I'll do grave yoga. Someone can come and stretch me in my grave. While it would be great to work out an hour a day, there is something inherently sort of selfish about it. I can't do it."
On appearances: "I like to delude myself that I'm in the old-Hollywood mode. I just tailor my clothes well and try to keep my skin clear. You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don't think Botox is for me. I think it is bad. People who have too much, they look like their faces are full of candles - a shiny, shiny face."
On juggling it all: "Sometimes I'll be telling my husband 'I think I'm cracking up'. Sometimes you just need a minute to say, 'I think I'm cracking' and just acknowledge it."

On her character Liz Lemon: "I wanted her to be believable, and she's based on a version of myself from before. Being a writer and first moving to New York ... a lot of women live like that. It's not that there is anything wrong with them or they are not together, intelligent, attractive women. It's just that the numbers are off or something."
On her Emmy style: "When it comes to going to the Emmys, say, people always say, 'You should wear some color,' but I always wear gunmetal or black."

Love it or Hate it: Lily Allen's Long Gloves

Lily Allen was out on the town last night attending the Harper's Bazaar women of the year awards. The singer and Chanel campaign star mainly wore a casual ensemble wearing a grey jumper with jeans and boots. However, she added a twist by wearing elbow length suede gloves and a statement necklace. Maybe the gloves were inspired by spending time with Karl Lagerfeld who is never seen without his fingerless style. What do you think of the addition to Lily's outfit?
