WHEN he's around. Considering he's gone 9 out of 12 months, that's pathetic to say. Violet probably has a pacificer and diaper/pull up because she is developmentally challenged according to past articles. Not a big deal.

I agree with the last comment. I'm not saying Ben isn't a great dad (I wouldn't know) but I can't stand it how someone is a great husband/father because they help out
'when they're around', but if a woman dedicates ALL her time to her family then she's just doing her job.

That is Seraphina's pacifier. There are pictures on this very site of Seraphina using that same pacifier in Boston. One picture is of Jen walking to the park with her girls. Seraphina is using the pacifier on the way to the park. I think Violet is just finding Seraphina pacifiers in the her Baby Car Sit, which is right beside Violet's booster sit.

I can't judge Jen and Ben for what their toddler is doing. She is not hurting anyone.

To Nasty Anonymous #12:07- Violet is reading Magic Tree House books (chapter books for 8 year olds) so I sincerely doubt if she is developmentally challenged. I also heard her talk in full sentences (on a video gossip site) when she was one and a half. Dont call her names if you dont know squat about her.

Some nasty comments on here and some just negative. What type of person comes on here to make critisise a toddler. And I'm not just talking about the disgusting post on Violet's development, which is clearly untrue. The use of a pacifier or dummy as we call it here has nothing to do with you.

So true Anon #13 I also heard from numerous sources close to the Garner/Afflecks that Violet is an exceptionally bright child. I too have heard speaking in full sentences before the age of two.

Get your fact straight anon #10 if you are going to trash talk a child. Those rumors you point out that this child was developmentally slow probably came from you and are totally baseless.

Allow me to pull my panties out a bunch and write what I wanted to say before reading your hateful comment. *Hunky dad and gorgeous baby girl*......CUTENESS OVERLOAD? Everybody say YEAH!!!!!! Be still my heart!

When my sister's kids were little, she (the mom) often time could be seen with a binky in her own mouth. That is one way some mom's clean germs from it before giving it to the baby. Maybe Vi saw her mom do it and kids mimick what they see their parents do.

Anyway so what if the kid uses a conforter it's not the end of the world. I see lots of celeb kids with them and I truly believe it has something to do the hoards of paparazzi surrounding them. The can scare the heck out of adults, imagine what they do to kids.

I heard that Santa Monica (where this preschool is) held hearings about perhaps passing a law that Paps had to be a certain distance away from the school. I guess it didnt pass or perhaps has not come up for a vote. As much as I love seeing VIolet and Jen and Ben I wouldnt mind never seeing another "school pickup" pic. All children need their privacy.

It's not nasty comments you diehards. She goes to a developmentally challenged school and it's been documented that she has some disabilities. I'm a fan and just stating something. It's not normal for a child to be so happy when she sees paps. It has nothing to do with her personality and it's sad that her parents or the paps or whoever fault it is allows for Violet to get used to that kind of attention. She'll seek it all her life and that's too bad. Just saying!

I heard she was developmentally slow as well in other news sites. I'm neutral and think it's a private matter. I do think that's why she wears diapers still and uses a pacifier and is smiling all the time at the cameras. All children are beautiful so it doesn't matter. I find it more interesting that Ben looks like he's been working out and is healthy and gone most of the time while his poor wife looks gaunt, lifeless and too skinny. Not sure if they will last but wish them well.
