2009 MTV Europe Music Awards: Best Dressed
As the show gets under way, it's time to look back at all of the red carpet action and decide who was the best dressed! There has been quite a high standard of style on show from Katy Perry's floor sweeping pink gown, to Beyonce's mermaid dress – it's going to be a tough decision! This is why I'm leaving it to you to decide – who is the best dressed?
Beyonce, One of the Best-Dressed Celeb of 2007?
People Magazine has voted Beyonce as "The Showstopper" on their best-dressed celebrity list of 2007. Sure, she gives it her all every single time she walks on that red carpet, but I'm not so sure she surpasses the more avant-garde stars out there (i.e. Diane Kruger, Cate Blanchett, Ashley Olsen, etc).
Women Go Dark and Pale On MTV EMAs Red Carpet
The women were looking gorgeous as they took to the red carpet at the MTV EMAs this evening. Brits Pixie Lott and Leona Lewis went for black outfits, with Pixie choosing a classic LBD and Leona going for an edgier choice of harem trousers. Lil Kim made a bold statement with her outfit, while Juliette Lewis was classic rock chick in her leather.
Beyonce, Jay-Z and Katy's Big Night in Berlin For the EMAs!
Stars of the music world hit the red carpet and the stage at tonight's MTV EMAs held in Berlin, Germany. The ladies were decked out in black and cream, with Beyonce and Katy Perry standing out in their long gowns. Bar Refaeli looked gorgeous as usual, but the dress was a bit of a departure from her usual style.

Beyonce had one of the most memorable stage outfits last year as she worked an edgy piece by Gareth Pugh. This year she has gone for something much softer with a long, pale pink, Atelier Versace mermaid-gown. The dress has a geometic corset with metallic panels.

Beyonce and her mom Tina are busy ladies. Besides launching the Sasha Fierce collection, House of Deréon is designing a collection of day dresses for Spring. There will be a few dress and jacket ensembles, as well as jumpsuits in materials like washed rayon, silk, sateen, and spandex knit.

Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z strolled NYC together, both looking street sharp. Beyonce wore a casual embellished plaid dress but spiced it up with Louis Vuitton's Spring platforms, a red knit beret, and an eye-catching gold Dannijo Ruth Celia necklace ($690). A tan bag with gold studs upped her bling factor.

Beyonce Knowles poured herself into a daring Herve Leger dress — and pulled it off — at the opening of Ginza Gates Store in Tokyo, Japan on Friday with her sister Solange. Beyonce graces the cover of the next Billboard magazine in which she lays out her extensive strategy for her upcoming album and tour which is modeled after international blockbuster releases of other kinds such as the Harry Potter franchise. The most surprising, she thinks, will be her fans seeing her depicting Etta James's heroin addiction in Cadillac Records.
Which Gareth Pugh Look Do You Prefer on Beyonce?
Beyonce Knowles surprised me with her choice of designer for tonight's MTV EMAs. She wore two Gareth Pugh dresses for the event proving that the young British designers items are truly wearable. For the red carpet she opted for a dress from Pugh's Spring line.

Beyonce Knowles seems to be loving British designers right now. Just last week she was spotted out in an Alexander McQueen military jacket and this evening she's made an unusual choice donning a Gareth Pugh Spring '09 dress. Also, check out her silver metal glove which happens to match her metallic nails!
