Last night in London, Zoe Salmon was given the honour of switching on the famous Marylebone Christmas lights, but this time she did it with brown hair instead of blonde. I quite like this rich and more mature look on her, however, I'm so used to her with pale hair, it's going to take a little getting used to. Vote below to let me know which hair hue you prefer on the saucy Ms.Salmon.

Last night at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York City, singer Rihanna took home the big award. I'm guessing it has something to do with not only her music and her style, but it also pays tribute to the bravery and courage she displayed going public about her abusive relationship with Chris Brown. Rihanna complemented her flesh-toned ball gown with newly pale blonde hair.

Recently, I made my yearly — OK, it's been more than a year — trip to the eye doctor. I've worn glasses for about 14 years now, and from one "trendy" frame to another, I've had lots of different looks. Since some were good, and others I'd prefer to forget, that was the inspiration behind this series of posts on choosing eyeglass frames.

Goody Hair Care in the United Kingdom has conducted a recent survey of 3,000 women claiming that blondes spend take an average of six minutes longer to get ready than brunettes do. In fact, on average, it takes women with pale hair 72 minutes to beautify compared to the 66 minutes that it takes women with darker hair. How long does it take you to get ready?

Last night at the Whitney Gala in NYC, Lindsay Lohan arrived on the red carpet with hair so blonde, I felt like it practically blended into her milky skin. She's been blonde for a while now, but the shade changes anywhere from platinum to slightly yellow to strawberry blonde. Vote below and let me know which blonde shade you think looks the best on Lindsay.

This is one of those things I always hear, and a lot of women, like Anna Wintour here, do seem to opt for blond as they get older. I always assumed women go blond in their 40s and 50s because it's the easiest way to cover gray, but I've heard some vague evolutionary biology stuff thrown around, too, where people say that blond = youth. Because babies have lighter hair than adults, generally, blondes read as more fertile and youthful.

Within the past month, Canadian actress Rachel McAdams has dabbled in three different hair colour dyes. Back in August at the New York premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife, her hair was a shiny and rich shade of brunette. Me thinks it was a semi-permanent job because weeks later it looks faded, like some of her old blonde highlights came through.

Over the weekend in New York City, model Agyness Deyn was spotted at the afterparty for the Alexander Wang fashion show and also grubbing on Italian food with newly dyed jet black hair. Known for her ever-changing stylish crops and edgy bobs, this haircut chameleon shows no signs of fear when it comes to change. Vote below to let me know if you dig her new dark 'do or if you like Miss Deyn more as a platinum blonde.

80's punk fashion designer Pam Hoggs stepped into the spotlight showing off the brightest hair I think I've ever seen! This bold, comic book yellow colour suits the creative lady who is most famous for her wild jumpsuits. This look is certainly courageous, and I promote Pam for using her hair to express her sense of style.

Actress and reality TV star Denise Richards was spotted at several events over the weekend with newly lightened hair. I'm not sure if the Summer sun has oxidised her typically blonde mane, or if she's going for the beachy, bleach-blonde effect, but her hair is looking brighter, whiter and more monotone than ever before. Below we also see her pictured with highlights, lowlights and with her hair dyed in more of her natural and warm brunette colour.
