On Sunday night's X Factor, Dannii Minogue sent the lovely Lucie on her way. Although the evening was sad (and in my opinion unfair), Dannii said her goodbye in style, sporting an asymmetrical bob. The right side of her hair was longer than the left, and the left side of her fringe was longer than her right!

The X Factor contestants were spotted outside their shared house again yesterday, as they headed to Great Ormond Street Hospital to visit ill children. Danyl Johnson and Stacey Solomon looked happy together despite bullying rumours, while Rachel Adedeji wore stripes, Joe McElderry smiled wide and Olly Murs went barefoot. Rachel still has her bob, and BellaUK wants to know which hairstyle do you prefer?

I have to confess that I've always had a bit of a girl crush on Alice Cullen's bobbed and flippy hairstyle in Twilight. Ashley Greene, however, the actress who plays the stylish, friendly vampire in the series, has been sporting a longer, less feathered layered bob in real life, and she sure has the chic look down pat. However, now that Eclipse is pretty much wrapping up, the actress is back to her long roots, as she debuted new extensions at the U2 concert in Pasadena yesterday, courtesy of Parlour on 3rd's Essly Powell, who worked with Ashley for nine hours to achieve this new look.

It's pretty safe to say that last night's 2009 MTV VMAs were one of the most entertaining in recent history. You had your Kanye outburst, Pink's Cirque du Soleil-style act, Lady Gaga's bloody performance, and cast members from Twilight taking the stage to premiere the New Moon trailer. (And in case you didn't hear the buzz, it was also a night for Kristen Stewart to cozy up with costar Robert Pattinson backstage.) At first, it looked like Kristen had chopped her Joan Jett-esque locks, but alas, it was just the mastery of Pantetne celebrity stylist Hallie Bowman, who created this edgy, faux-bowl-cut style with a modern feel.

In an attempt to offer a new twist in the haircare market, HerCut, a line of products tailored to the form and shape of your actual haircut, launches online today. Earlier, most of you said you'd at least give it a try, but as expected, there were some rumblings about whether or not these products could actually work, as they eschew something rather important when it comes to your hairstyle — its texture.
HerCut offers five styling "Catalysts" ($22 each) that pump out a cream on one side and a gel on the other, to complement the foundation of the haircut (think multichambered toothpaste dispensers).

This weekend marked the 2009 V Music Festival that took place in Chelmsford and Staffordshire. The weather was unseasonably sunny for the UK which made an outdoor festival a delight for performers, guests and those with backstage access. Along with the expected hippie hairstyles, one prevalent look I noticed was the bob.

To bob or not to bob: That is the question. After all, as versatile as long hair can be — elaborate updos to easy ponytails — there are times when we may long for shorter tresses . .

Just when we thought that New York Fashion Week couldn't show us any more hair surprises, Agyness Deyn stole the limelight from Victoria Beckham by unveiling her brand new bob yesterday at the shows. It's typical of on-trend Agyness to have updated her look, just when it seemed everyone was copying her crop.
This new, short, yet sharp cut looks striking with Agyness' bleach blonde colour and has a retro feel that brings to mind the flapper girls of the 20's.
