The Moneyball movie that got grounded by Sony just days before it was supposed to start shooting may yet make it to a big screen near you. Aaron Sorkin has been hired to rewrite the script for the film, which is based on Michael Lewis's nonfiction book.
The script has been the major point of contention: Sony halted production on the film because it didn't like some changes Steven Soderbergh — who was then signed on to direct the film — had made.

Brad Pitt took one of his bikes out for a spin in LA yesterday, only this time he made it without having to hitch a ride home halfway through. Earlier this week we saw Angelina on dance class duty with Shiloh and Zahara as the Jolie-Pitt family returns to LA life at least for a moment. Even with his Moneyball stalled out, he still has a handful of projects in the works and we all know the habits of the famous family who never stays in one place for long.

Last weekend, the entertainment industry was shocked when Sony pulled the plug on Steven Soderbergh's baseball movie that was going to star Brad Pitt — just days before the movie was supposed to start shooting.
Based on a bestseller by Michael Lewis, Moneyball was going to be a feature-length film about the true story of Oakland Athletics' general manager Billy Beane (Pitt) who put together a successful baseball team based on a new way of measuring a player's skill via stats. It might sound kind of dry, but having read both the book and an early, leaked version of the script, I can vouch for it being a compelling story.

Back in April we saw Brad Pitt shooting a new commercial for SoftBank, and here's the result of his hard work. Brad doesn't have any lines, but he still looks hot and flexes a bit of comedic muscle, too. Watch the ad below and tell us — do you wish Brad would do more commercials for America?

Brad Pitt coordinated his helmet and pants for ride around LA on Saturday afternoon. Now that Moneyball is stalled after encountering production difficulties, Brad has some free time to focus on hobbies like his motorcycle collection. He's also diligent as ever with his philanthropic work, including teaming up with Angelina Jolie recently to call for a boycott of certain diamonds from Zimbabwe.
