Whose Celebrity Bridal Hair Did You Like The Most?

It's wedding season at Sugar Inc - so get excited for the latest on all of your favourite celebrity couples from May 2008-2009! Below are hairstyles from the most recent weddings of Coleen Rooney, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Autumn Kelly, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie and Georgina Sutcliffe. Notice how each of them have gone with completely different looks.

Unfortunately, other celebrities who recently wed in secret such as Scarlett Johannson, Gisele Bundchen, Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek, Peaches Geldof, Mandy Moore, Nicole Appleton and Emma Hemming means that we haven't been able to see these blushing brides on their big days, but hopefully we'll get a peek at pictures some point soon! Finding the right hairstyle for your wedding day is a big deal, so don't be ashamed or embarrassed to play with different looks. I sat through five different trials trying everything from long, wavy extensions to updos. Heck, even celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves said that, "once Carmen Electra selected her wedding dress, I created 13 different hairstyles on her and took a Polaroid of each one so she could select the one which was perfect for her."

This is your day to shine - you should look fabulous! And a great suggestion, Ken. It's important to take a Polaroid so that your stylist knows exactly how to recreate the look. I know it all feels kinda vain, but once you find something you love, you'll be so happy to have one less detail to worry about on your wedding day!

Oh and did I mention that Ken Paves also styled wedding hair for Jessica Simpson and Christina Applegate as well as J.Lo's hair for her wedding scenes in "Monster In Law" and "The Wedding Planner?" Updo: This is a broad category because it can mean chignon, french twist, ballet bun or simple knot. You can part it on the side to modernize this classic look, or give some volume to the crown. Even though it may not feel like something you'd be interested in, I encourage you to try your hair styled off your neck and away from your face. It really allows you to have a fuss free night! Half Up, Half Down: This keeps your hair out of your eyes but still allows somewhat of a flowy and natural feel. This look is really popular with all types of brides. You can see Nicole Kidman's wedding hair here.
Long and Natural: This is great for someone that wants to look like themselves on their wedding day. This look is becoming ever more popular with modern and natural brides. I would opt for shine/loose waves. Check out Jennifer Aniston's lovely locks here.
Short Hair With Added Body: If you have short hair you've got to do something to give it some oomph. You could add curl, volume or even spikes to dress it up a little bit. Look at Victoria Beckham's wedding 'do here.

This week, designers showed off their latest wedding-gown collections at bridal fashion shows - and of course, they had hair and makeup looks to fulfill their visions. From Vera Wang to Monique Lhuillier, each has his or her own take on bridal beauty. Expect lots of nude makeup and simple hairstyles, some of which can work in real life. Have You Ever Been Asked to Do the Bride's Hair or Makeup?

With all of the wedding coverage across the Sugar network, we've given you lots of information when it comes to bridal beauty. This got me to thinking. While I've never taken a walk down the aisle myself, I've attended my fair share of weddings, and on a few occasions, I've been asked to assist the bride with her hair and/or makeup.

Last year, I helped my friend Sabrina go fresh-faced, natural makeup for her ceremony. I was also the official makeup-toucher-upper for Mr. Bella's sister at her wedding in the Finger Lakes. How about you? Have you ever been called upon to provide your beauty expertise to help the bride look her best on her big day?

Preview Your Wedding Look With a Fun Photo Shoot!

Mr. Bella and I are headed to the wedding of his best friend, Dave, and his fiancée, Liz, in just a few short weeks. Boston, here we come for some wicked awesome times. After snooping around on Liz's Facebook page, I spotted these convivial photos, along with some well-applied makeup and perfectly waved hair on the bride-to-be.
If you're getting married, ask your hairdresser for a makeup artist recommendation. That's how Liz found Shauna Shay, the makeup artist who used MAC products in these photos for Liz's soft bridal palette. Find out how the future Mrs. Dave used her trial run makeup appointment - along with an antique Boston trolley - to create a fun pre-wedding photo shoot when you read more.

Liz said,

A lot of people schedule their hair and/or makeup trial for the day of their shower or some other event they want to look good for. Our photographer includes an engagement shoot with his package, but we had already sent our engagement announcement in to papers and everything, so this shoot was pretty much a freebie, and I used it to see how the makeup would photograph. My cousin helped us get a permit for a trolley line in Boston that has antique cars, and we just had fun taking pics. It was good to work with our photographer before the big day and get comfortable, too.

Rachel Bilson is keeping herself busy with a trip to the hair salon in a patterned shirt yesterday before attending a meeting today both times wearing Brian Reyes. After spending last week looking at new trends during Fashion Week, Rachel is always on top of what's coming up in the style world. Soon enough though, she'll have to start paying attention to the upcoming Spring bridal runways as much as the regular couture shows.
