Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a baby boy in LA today, People reports. No word yet on the name or any other specifics, but the important thing is we know that both the mother and son are doing well.

Tom recently said that he would take time off following the birth of his child, so I imagine he's either on his way to LA or already on the west coast. Lucky for him, he's still got a few weeks before his regular season starts. I can't wait to see the little quarterback! Congrats to Bridget and Tom!

Bridget Moynahan Is in Love with a Much Younger Man

Do mothers really dress like this? Actress Bridget Moynahan who is perhaps more famous for being NFL star Tom Brady's baby mama has gone model in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. The svelte single mommy to 9-month-old, John (Jack) is the subject of a sexy pictorial that has the siren pushing a stroller and packing groceries, whisking batter in stilettos and leaning cribside in lingerie. While the shots scream adult playdate rather than multitasking mother of one, the accompanying interview sheds light on the woman who became tabloid fodder when she announced her pregnancy hot on the heels of her public break-up from the New England Patriot's quarterback. She said:

“Going through that traumatic time of being heartbroken and then being pregnant turned my whole life upside down and inside out and just knocked the wind out of me,” says Moynahan. “But I got so much out of that. It’s golden and it’s tough and it was f*cked up. But now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.”

While raising babe alone isn't the easiest of undertakings, it certainly has its rewards. The article said:

“I have become that mother I used to dread,” Moynahan admits, shamelessly enumerating the things that Jack has been doing lately. As of press time, they included clapping, crawling, and standing up. “Every time he does something, you think he’s a genius.” She pauses and deadpans, “He’s totally a genius.”

Though John Edward Thomas Moynahan can't throw a football yet, he's this week's spotlit baby for an obvious reason - his father sure can!

The babe whose middle names are after his three time Super Bowl winning daddy, Tom Brady carries his mother, actress Bridget Moynahan's surname. His parents ended their relationship around the time he was conceived.

But this weekend, we're pretty sure this wee one, who was welcomed into the world last August, will be sporting Patriot's gear and rooting for his father as New England takes on New York. And we bet when the lil cutie gets older, we'll see a lot more of him in the stadium stands and hopefully, on the field.

Footballer Tom Brady has been hanging out with a new teammate for a change - his tot. The seven-month-old babe was spotted out and about with his daddy and model Gisele Bundchen yesterday.

Whatever happened between the quarterback and his baby mama, Bridget Moynahan is in the past so hopefully the parents will put their differences aside and raise darling lil John together.

Bridget Moynahan met a friend out for lunch with her most precious accessory - John Edward Thomas Moynahan - in her arms yesterday afternoon. The little cutie peered over his mom's shoulder throughout lunch, showing off his monogrammed blanket. Interestingly, the "Thomas" aspect of the initials was left off that one. Well, can't say I blame her for avoiding reminders of her baby daddy, but I can't imagine it's all that easy because little John is the spitting image of Tom (and, awwww, he's already got those quarterback hands...ha).

Was Gisele Bundchen Out of Line in VF or Is Bridget Moynahan's Camp Overreacting?

Gisele Bundchen made headlines earlier this week when she was quoted in Vanity Fair about how connected she feels to Tom Brady's son, Jack. Today, a close friend of Tom's ex and Jack's mother Bridget Moynahan struck back. An excerpt from the statement is below, as well as Gisele's original quote, but the Moynahan camp took the chance to call out both Tom and Gisele's behavior. Check out both sides:

Gisele originally said: "I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent. I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he's my son, from the first day."
Bridget's camp responds: "If Gisele loved Bridget's child like he was '100 percent her own,' then she would not talk about him in the press. Discretion and respect are not either of Gisele or Tom's virtues, as was evidenced even when the child was still unborn and they publicly flaunted their relationship without any discretion whatsoever. Don't you think Jack will grow up and read her comments and find them disrespectful to him and his mother? If Tom is such a great father as everyone likes to say, then you would think that he'd respect the privacy of his young child and would ask his wife not to use his son as a publicity prop and a subject of public discussion. Is she so desperate for attention that she can't find anything more productive to talk about other than Bridget's child?"

But, these days all different combinations of people make up families and that is reflected in the variety of options that parents have when choosing their child's last name. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani went old school when they named their son. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie combined their monikers with a hyphen for their mini mes. And, Bridget Moynahan gave her babe middle names for his father, Tom Brady, but made him a Moynahan.
