Kenneth Cole Camera Bag Won't Cramp Your Style

I wish the dimensions of the New York Motorway Camera Bag from Kenneth Cole were listed in its description, because I'd love to be able to use it for my SLR.

It's leather and looks like any other great handbag, so it's great for discretion against potential camera-snatchers, as well as meaning that you don't have to compromise style to get a great supportive bag to stow your camera. However, it's also an expensive handbag price: $248.

I have to say though, if I found out it could hold my SLR and not just my point-and-shoot, I may be raiding my piggy bank pretty soon.

Designers at Armani, Prada, and Gucci aren't the only fashion-forwarded types to realize geek is chic - Stella McCartney has an amazing Losina Patent Camera Bag, that's a real cut above the usual camera tote. The bag measures 11 inches wide by 7 inches (it's also 6 inches deep, so it's perfect for those of us who use an SLR camera) and is covered with silver metal accents. The front of the bag has a hidden slot pocket behind the buckle/belt treatment, with a secure magnetic closure. Stella is a strict vegetarian so the bag is actually fabric covered with a patent finish. It's on sale for $400 (down from $1,235). Hey Santa? Is it too late to add this to my list? Kenneth Cole Metallic Camera Bag: Love It or Leave It?

What's this I see? A stylish metallic camera bag, and big enough to hold my DSLR? Kenneth Cole's Time to Shine Crossbody Camera Bag ($128) in silver is one of the first camera bags that's not a stuffy black nylon thing big enough for my large camera.

It actually says hey, world, I can shoot pictures and care about how cute my accessories are and it's OK! (Diatribe over).

Am I impressed for nothing though? Is it just an overpriced bag, or the answer to my fashionable photography needs?

Crumpler SLR Camera Bag Holds Lenses, Too

A lot of you really liked last week's stylish DSLR bag, the Acme SLR Bowler Camera Bag, but some voiced concern about there needing to be room for lenses as well.

I couldn't agree more, so I found one that accommodates it all and still looks pretty cute: The Crumpler 4 Million Dollar SLR Bag.

Despite the name, the bag is just $59, and while it's a bit sportier than I prefer, it's still inconspicuous as a camera bag, so it won't point thieves right to your expensive cargo.

Banana Republic Debuts Its Leather Camera Bag

As far as I know, Banana Republic hasn't really been in the gadget accessory game, but all the same, I'm happy to see its (maybe) first: the new Leather Camera Bag.

At 11 inches by 13 inches by 4 inches, the size is big enough for your SLR, and it's nice, simple, but luxe looks nab it a spot in my roster of stylish SLR camera bags.

But it is also $148 - pretty pricey. Such is beauty, I suppose.

If you hold out it will come: After a disappointing showing from the new Kindle cases, I was feeling pretty uninspired by gadget bags and cases. Well, the geek accessory Gods are smiling on us, because Stella McCartney's line for LeSportsac has gone live, with a lot of pretty and posh options for laptops and cameras (currently available for pre-order) . The line is priced $120 to $325, which is pricey, but more reasonable than most Stella McCartney offerings. Also making it worth it: They're all made of 100 percent recycled eco polyester. The Prada Camera Bag: As Pretty As the Pictures Will Be

Here on geek, laptop bags get all the love, but I know that many of you shutterbugs need stylish carriers for your cameras, too. The main problem is that while laptop bags continue their style evolution, camera bags are a little behind them (hey, they can't all be Stella McCartney).

With that in mind, I've been on the hunt for a chicer camera bag (full disclosure: I've been toting my DSLR around more often, so it's partially selfish!), and I've found a practical carrier with a designer pedigree: the Prada Camera Bag. On sale for $209 (down from $410), the luxe label will still cost you, but shouldn't your memory-maker get some sugar, too?

Love It or Leave It? Fendi B Patent Camera Bag

Like Marc Jacobs Fendi is attempting to make a mark in the gadget accessories department. This B Patent camera bag may look like a purse, but its main purpose is for carrying a camera. Made in Italy from gold patent leather, this camera bag includes a shoulder strap with the signature Fendi logo buckle, a zip top and an inside pocket for your cam. Not exactly my style considering it costs a whopping $775. But if you are looking for a stylish and affordable camera bag, I recommend the Vituri camera case which is cute and can double as a purse, or the Marc Jacobs Digital camera case, which is chic, designer and affordable. What are your thoughts on this bag?
