Last time we saw Carrie Underwood with her DS, she was playing with her virtual pups in Nintendogs. This time she's kicking butt and taking names while racing a few of her bandmates in Mario Kart. She still has that awesome Metallic Rose DS (so jealous), and seems to have a pretty good strategy on how to take out her competition.

Starting tomorrow, Nintendo will begin airing commercials featuring various famous females to showcase the crimson and black DS and the re-release of the metallic rose DS Lite — which was sold as a bundle with Nintendogs during the holiday season last year. In case you missed it, here's the adorable Liv Tyler commercial as she geeks out with Brain Age 2. And now for a sneak peek at Carrie Underwood having some fun with Nintendogs on her pretty-in-pink DS Lite!

Only the strong have survived our Pop 100 competition so far, and the matchups are only getting tougher as time goes on. Songbirds Beyonce and Carrie Underwood are head to head in round three, and Beyonce is in a lead though it's a tough call between the beautiful starlets. Beyonce had a big year that included her double album and recently scored a box office hit with Obsessed while Carrie Underwood continued to burn up the country music charts and won a Grammy.

It was all about the ladies on the red carpet at last night's People's Choice Awards in LA. Queen Latifah sparkled in purple as the host of the show, yet again, while Debra Messing kept it a little more geometric. Paris Hilton was a nominee this time around for her first presidential video, though she lost in the online sensation category to Dr.

Last night's Country Music Television Awards were more about glamor than sequins, but there was certainly still a lot of glitz and fun in the Nashville night. Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus hosted the evening which included a lot of costume changes for the starlet. Adorable little Taylor Swift took home Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, while Kellie Pickler (really!?

At the end of last week, before the VMAs, crowds of celebs were in New York for Fashion Rocks, which helped kick off the city's Fashion Week. This year it was also helping to support US charity Stand Up To Cancer, and a host of amazing female singers including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, our very own Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Ashanti, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey took to the stage to sing their single "Just Stand Up" for the cause — check out the video after the jump.
Beyonce also took to the stage with Justin Timberlake for a duet, and Deborah Harry teamed up with Fergie for a number too.

AMA winner Fergie opened the show last night with a medley of her latest and greatest hits. It was a strong start for a show that definitely included some memorable performances including glow in the dark dancer, Chris Brown and Rihanna who looked way better on stage than on the red carpet. Beyonce dressed down when she joined Sugarland for a duet of her hit Irreplaceable.
