Julia Roberts Knows the Importance of Good Genes

After giving birth to her third child, Julia Roberts, has been working out to get back into shape. She does want you to know, however, that you shouldn't believe all the hype about celebs getting back into shape after having children. She said:

"I have been working out, but listen, it is 97 percent genetics. Don't let anybody tell you any crap about anything else, because that's what it is: 97 percent genetics and 3 percent just get your ass moving. Because I've never met a cookie I didn't like."

Got to love Julia's sense of humor and realistic approach to losing weight. I am not sure about the facts behind her 97% to 3% ratio, so don't feel totally hopeless. If you're looking to lose a little post pregnancy weight, slow and steady (along with healthy eating and exercise) wins the race. Besides, while she remains one of my all-time favorite celebrities, 97% of all my genes don't contain those would make me look like, well, Julia Roberts.

Katie Has a Big Surprise to Reveal as She Flies Away

Katie Price brought a pop of colour to her dark outfit with her bright pink nails as she flew from Heathrow to LA yesterday. While rumours fly about her possible return to I'm A Celebrity, Kate's taken to her OK! magazine column to respond to suggestions she's pregnant. She also raved about what fun she had at a Halloween party, gave an update on Harvey following his hospitalisation last week, and revealed her opinion on Gordon Ramsay. Here are the highlights:

On Harvey: "Harvey wasn’t too well this week and had to spend the night in hospital but he’s absolutely fine now. He has been sent lots of get well wishes from the public, so thanks to everyone for that."
On pregnancy rumours: "Last week I told OK! that I have a big surprise in store and there is already gossip that I’m pregnant. Well, let them speculate what they like. All I’ll say is never underestimate the Pricey. They can say I’m pregnant, they can say what they like. It will all be revealed before the New Year."
On her appearance on The F Word: "Gordon Ramsay is a really nice guy and completely down to earth like me. I knew I wouldn’t beat him at the recipe challenge, I only practised the chicken kiev recipe the night before. He beat me 5-0 and I think that was about right."
On her future products and shows: "I’m really thrilled to be doing some smellings for my new as-yet unnamed perfume which will be out next year – and I’m currently designing some new eyelashes which will be hitting the shops soon. I start filming my new reality show soon so expect plenty of thrills, spills, laughs and Pricey pandemonium."

It looks like pregnancy is suiting Melanie Chisholm, as Sporty Spice positively glowed at a Celebration of the Bee Gees in London over the weekend. Heavily pregnant Mel has said she wants to keep the baby's sex a surprise, but she has decided on where to give birth, saying: "I want to give birth in hospital, rather than at home, just in case something goes wrong - especially as it's my first". With a wedding to plan too, Mel's going to have a very busy, and happy, Spring. After so many brilliant and bizarre baby names last year, I can't wait to find out what Baby C will be called.

Kate and MM Cheer Big Despite Yankees Rough Game One

Kate Hudson bundled up and headed to Yankee Stadium last night to watch game one of the World Series with Kurt Russell. She was also joined by good friend Matthew McConaughey and pregnant Camila Alves, but unfortunately for the celebrity crew, Alex Rodriguez and his Yankees couldn't pull out a win. They'll be back for more tonight, and Kate isn't one to miss a playoff game - which even means that she's apparently called off her annual star-studded Halloween party in order to cheer on Alex when the series moves to Philadelphia on Saturday. It's no big secret that things are pretty serious between Kate and A-Rod, and apparently she's so open about their love that she shares details of their sex life with her mom Goldie.

Should Pregnant Women Celebrate Mother's Day?

I found out I was pregnant with my first child in June so I had her in my arms when I first celebrated Mother's Day.

But, some mamas-to-be expect all the hoopla, be it a brunch, a spa day or family get together and gifts before their wee one is welcomed into the world.

Does it make sense for women with impending babes to be celebrated?

Gabby's Fit Pregnancy

My girl Gabrielle Reece will be gracing the cover of the December issue of Pregnancy Magazine. I can't get enough of Gabby's great attitude and healthy lookout on life - she is one famous face that seems to have it together.

Gabby believes in working out during pregnancy, as opposed to afterwards when it's time to lose that weight. She explains a few of the exercises that she does to keep fit while pregnant. So to see a few of my favorites, just read more

Holding a 5-pound dumbbell in each hand, bend slightly at the waist and split your stance so that your right foot is in front of your left foot. Your right arm is extended toward the floor while your left arm is bent in a V. Simultaneously do a slow bicep curl with your right arm and a kickback with your left arm. Do 1 set of 12 reps on each side.

Start on all fours with your spine neutral. Extend your left leg straight back and slightly elevated, so that you feel a burn in your glutes. Holding a 3-pound dumbbell, extend your right arm straight out, at 90 degrees to your leg. Curl your right arm toward the outside of your left elbow, as if you’re giving yourself a hug. Do 1 set of 12 reps on each side.

Place a small chair within arm’s reach of stability ball, then lean on the ball with your back and shoulders supported, your rear off the ground and your left leg crossed over your right knee. Using your hips and glutes, push yourself up into a bridge position; hold onto the chair for support if you need it. Do 1 set of 12 reps on each side.
