Even the most decadent red carpet queens like Penelope Cruz, Reese Witherspoon, and newbie Leighton Meester can sometimes be seen sporting caps, flats, and hoodies. Celebrity Style: Olivia Wilde

We're so used to seeing Olivia Wilde in magical red carpet gowns. Now it's time to acquaint ourselves with her more casual side. The actress attended Nobu West Hollywood's one-year anniversary party in a breezy look that's simple to mimic. What specifically drew me in is Olivia's equestrian-style belt. It's a great way to jazz up her paisley maxi dress. The coral drop earrings and gold necklace add further excitement to her look.

Trendspotting: Gold Metallic Minidresses

Here's a great post FashionWithoutGuilt posted in our Cheap Chic and Frugalosity groups.

Rise and Shine! Metallics and mini dresses are back with a vengeance. The trend this season is sexy shine. As pictured, Eliza Dushku is showing us a great example of this trend done right. Forever 21 and American Apparel have some great alternatives we can all afford.

When choosing metallics there are a few things to consider:

The type of material of the garment: Fabrics with shine, if not chosen wisely, can come across as low quality. To prevent this, try the item on first. Is there a stretch to the fabric or do you just look like a roll of aluminum foil?
No shine overload: I am all for glitz but sometimes there can be too much. If you are going to incorporate shine into your ensemble, please use discretion. Do not ever wear this fabric as a top and bottom. The fashion police will be called immediately. Choose one garment and stick to it.
Have fun: Metallics are all about fun and making a statement. So own it and be fierce.

New Moon Cast Has a Big NY Finale Before Tonight's Opening!

The cast of New Moon trotted out for one more red carpet in NYC tonight. They all showed up to greet fans and press for a final special screening before the movie's official release tonight at midnight! Kristen rocked out in a green one shoulder dress to finish off her spectacular fashionable weeks - find out how to get New Moon star style here and take a look at the top five Twilight red carpet moments. Elizabeth Reaser and Ashley Greene both look fantastic amid some of their other celebrity attendees like Natalie Portman and Taylor Momsen.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen arrived together, but posed separately. Despite another exhausting day, Robert managed some smiles for the awaiting crowd who cheered big whenever they caught a glimpse. The rest of the men of the Twilight saga didn't look too shabby themselves! Tons of Stars Come Out For MOCA's 30th Birthday!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie weren't the only stars who headed out for the MOCA 30th Anniversary Gala in LA on Saturday night. The Jolie-Pitts skipped the red carpet, but there was more than enough star power even without the A-List couple. Kate Bosworth, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba showed some leg in shorter dresses while Rachel Zoe and Kate Beckinsale stuck with their floor-skimming looks. The event looks like it was a huge success and they had at least one happy attendee - Rachel Zoe twittered about how much she loved the mixing of art and fashion worlds.

The museum's art wasn't the only thing on display for the night - Lady Gaga performed for the crowd which also included some cute loved-up couples. Gaga played the piano and sang, wearing an outfit designed by Frank Gehry, Muccia Prada and Baz Luhrmann which were all part of an art piece. Gwen Stefani posed with Gavin Rossdale while Neil Patrick Harris had his boyfriend David Burtka as his date. James Franco even brought out his longtime lady Ahna O'Reilly for the bash. Brad and Angelina took a tour of the pieces and apparently they're working on an art project of their own - the Jolie-Pitts are designing a line of jewelry for Asprey. The celebrities might have gotten the first look, but a collection celebrating the museum's first 30 years will be on display to the public until May.

Most of the cast of Gossip Girl lent their support to Penn Badgley's film career last night as they hit the red carpet at The Stepfather premiere in New York City. His co-star and offscreen girlfriend Blake Lively looked very laid back chic in leather trousers and an oversized blazer. She was joined by Taylor Momsen in a racey tight fitting number and Jessica Szohr in a coat dress and skinny jeans. Sadly, Leighton Meester did not attend (her onscreen hate of Dan Humphrey did not overflow in to real life – she was promoting her music), but out of these three ladies, who do you think is the best dressed?

Rihanna Leads the Way With Amazing Women For Glamour

Rihanna stole the show in her dramatic white dress as she and her fellow honorees took the red carpet at last night's Glamour Women of the Year celebration in NYC. Carnegie Hall was brimming with beautiful ladies from Iman to Maria Shriver and Diane von Furstenberg. Catherine Zeta-Jones stood out in blue and had Michael Douglas by her side for support. Rih was just one of a handful of women who were chosen by the magazine, but all eyes were on her - and most of you are loving the look, just the latest in her fashion metamorphosis!

Padma Lakshmi showed off her growing baby bump while one of the evening's honorees Stella McCartney smiled big with her award up on stage where she also had some trouble with her super short skirt. Amy Poehler and Michelle Obama were two of the magazine's other women of the year, though the First Lady didn't attend the event since she was with her husband President Barack Obama visiting with families at Fort Hood. The night was full of inspirational and important females who spoke and mingled, celebrating each other and Glamour's picks. Rihanna has come out strong opening up about her difficult year and what all this means to her – check out Rih's heartfelt speech after the jump.

Rihanna and Stella McCartney were amongst those honoured, and were joined by Estelle, who performed on stage. Jennifer Garner attended The Invention of Lying premiere at the TIFF looking quite spectacular in a green tiered dress by Oscar de la Renta dress and Casadei sky-high taupe platform pumps - sizzle. The hue goes great against her brunette locks and I like how metallic silver accessories increase her sparkle. Indeed, this look is quite different from her usual playtime ensembles and I like it!
