Leighton Keeps Things Buttoned Up For Gossip Girl

Leighton Meester joined Chace Crawford, Blake Lively and Ed Westwick yesterday on the NYC set of Gossip Girl. Unlike her edgier performance look at Tuesday's American Eagle party, Leighton kept things prim and proper as she got into character as Blair Waldorf. You guys aren't quite sure what to make of Leighton's tendencies to strip down when she goes into musical mode, but she's not the only Upper East Sider who likes to show a bit of skin.

Gossip Girl Gang Keep Their Clothes on For Filming

The Gossip Girl gang were out on the streets on New York yesterday filming. Blake Lively wore bright blue trousers, while Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick were wrapped up warm in big grey coats. Leighton Meester toned down her eye-catching makeup from this week's American Eagle party as she transformed back into Blair, but she's still making headlines by stripping down for American GQ. The show itself made headlines because of a controversial plot, but Jessica Szohr has defended it saying it was fun to film and tastefully done.

Chace and Taylor Film While Ed and Jessica Stay in Fashion

The cast of Gossip Girl spread out all over NYC yesterday. Taylor Momsen was dressed up to film alongside Chace Crawford, who was back on set after turning out to support Blake Lively at a screening of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee over the weekend. It was Ed Westwick's turn to get fancy last night, when he joined girlfriend Jessica Szohr at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The ceremony tends to bring out fashion's heavy hitters, and Ed and Jess spent their evening celebrating Sophie Theallet's win among models and designers. Meanwhile, last night's WTF moment-filled episode featured the Lady Gaga cameo you were looking forward to, as well the usual gorgeous interiors, beauty, and fashion.

I love Taylor's glittery eye makeup - what do you think of her look? Blake and Robin Have the Stars of Nine Supporting Pippa Lee

The leading ladies of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee hit the red carpet in NYC on Saturday evening. Blake Lively didn't address rumors she's going into business with Victoria Beckham as she smiled for the cameras, while her boyfriend Penn Badgley mingled with fellow Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford behind the scenes. Robin Wright Penn, meanwhile, showed off her new dark hairdo as she posed alongside Julianne Moore and Keanu Reeves. The film's writer and director, Rebecca Miller, brought along her husband Daniel Day-Lewis. He, in turn, was accompanied by a few of his costars in Nine, like Penelope Cruz and Marion Cotillard. Both films hit the box office in the coming weeks, but it looks like the two casts have nothing but support for each other.

Three's a Controversial Crowd on Gossip Girl!

Here's some Friday manjoyment for you - those Gossip Girl guys were spotted filming alongside their musically talented costar Leighton Meester this week. Ed Westwick looked rather handsome in his brown leather jacket as he picked up something to eat, while in a different part of New York Chace Crawford was happy to have a couple of photos taken as he walked down the street. The show is currently causing some controversy due to an upcoming threesome storyline which the Parents' Television Council has said is not appropriate for the teenage audience - most fans are just wondering who's going to be involved in the plot! Ed, Taylor and Penn Take a Break, While Chace Keeps Moving

Did you watch Gossip Girl last night? I'm avidly watching the third season of the show at the moment, and the cast are still busy in New York filming further episodes. Yesterday Penn was caught by autograph hunters as he took a break, while Taylor sported her shades to check on her phone - her legs seem to get longer in every picture! Ed Westwick took time out to smoke a cigarette and check his own messages, perhaps from castmate Chace Crawford who is currently preparing for his new movie Footloose in the city. Director Kenny Ortega says that Chace is doing dance training alongside his TV commitments, so it's safe to say he must be a very busy guy right now!

Blake and Chace Get a Penny For Their Thoughts

Blake Lively and Chace Crawford took a coffee break between scenes on the set of Gossip Girl on Wednesday. Cutie Penny, who is only slightly bigger than Blake's Starbucks cup, snuggled up and got some love from mom. The costars have been spending a lot of time together on and off screen, grabbing lunch last week and attending the premiere of The Stepfather with the rest of the cast on Monday night. At the end of this week's episode, Serena and Nate were both alone after their Carter and Bree heartbreaks respectively, but in real life Blake is happy with Penn and Chace is never lacking for female attention.
