Happy Hour: Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica Riesling 2006

When shopping for white wine, I usually steer clear of overly sweet Rieslings. However, one Riesling I can't get enough of is Eroica. It's a rich, fruity wine from Washington state that is developed with a complex mix of old-world meets new-world techniques. The grapes come from many different vineyards to make the perfect blend. It's bold but refined with citrus flavors and a slight mineral finish. I love that the wine is named for Beethoven's third symphony, an interesting tidbit that elevates this bottle to supreme sophistication. It would pair well with light appetizers at Thanksgiving dinner; a crisp, thin crusted pizza; or a delicious, raw seafood bar.

John Krasinski Gets a New Office

John Krasinski is making a habit of saying "Away We Go" lately - this time to a new 2,640-square-foot, three-bedroom, four-bath gated mid-century home in LA. His $1.9 million purchase sits high above Hollywood's legendary Chateau Marmont hotel on what real estate agents deem a "celebrity cul-de-sac." So, Krasinski should feel right at home among his VIP cronies.
I dig the home's architecture from the outside, but I'm not too keen on the contemporary updates indoors, the kitchen and bathroom in particular. I'm also liking the lush tropical plants on the patio, but there doesn't seem to be much space to entertain around the pool - I guess that's what you get for only about a third of an acre of land. I'll give this crib three stars, and that's assuming he'll toss the bachelor pad furniture. What do you think? See photos when you read more.

Hollywood Ladies Come Out to Support GQ's Men of the Year

The Chateau Marmont hosted GQ's Men of the Year Awards last night in LA. A few of the magazine's honorees, including Zach Galifianakis, Tom Ford, and Neil Patrick Harris joined forces with starlets like Olivia Wilde and AnnaLynne McCord. January Jones hit the carpet alongside Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter as Alexander Skarsgard, who won a "Man Who Saved HBO" award, went from LAX to the bash - click here to check out the full list of winners.

Alexander stayed close to rumored girlfriend Kate Bosworth, despite recent reports of her being linked to other guys. Sarah Silverman, meanwhile, was there to keep Zach company as his fellow funny man Russell Brand took a night off from romancing Katy Perry to mingle with Quentin Tarantino. Lindsay Lohan also turned up for the event while drama with her father seems to finally be cooling off.

Happy Hour: Vins Gagliardi L'Engarran

A while back, Party and I received a breathtakingly striking bottle of Vins Gagliardi L'Engarran. Designed by video-game producer American McGee and award-wining artist Ken Wong, this wine is a must-have for any geek's collection, but will be wonderfully appreciated by many others too. The first in a series of "dark fairytales," this label features Rapunzel on a bottle of L'Engarran. A mix of 30% Cabernet Franc, 22% Syrah, 15% Merlot and 33% Carignan grapes, the wine is a rich dark red with bold berry flavors and a hint of vanilla.

I love that the winery started out trying to juxtapose a passion for art with a passion for wine, but now they've realized that an American McGee label will sell itself. What do you think, would you buy it just for the label? It's $18 and I personally think it's a great conversation starter and an awesome gift for the right person.

If you like this one, Vins Gagliardi has just introduced the second in the series. Chateau Du Charnay - which features a dark Little Red Riding Hood - is a Macon Rouge, Red Burgandy Wine that will be available soon.

Crave Worthy: Anthropologie Chateau Lamp

Anthropologie has done it again. The Chateau Lamp ($1,598) is every little girl's dream, but I also believe I've seen it myself during REM sleep. This palatial wirework rendering with curlicue turrets, squiggly eaves, and a floor of book leaves is not only a dollhouse of sorts (with a mini table, set of chairs, and glass and bottle of wine inside!), but also a table lamp! Sweet dreams have come to life. Until I burn my paycheck on this baby, I can only imagine what beautiful shadows it casts when lit.

Robert and Kristen Take in the View

Saturday Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart spent another day together around LA. The two were spotted having lunch at Palihouse Hotel with a couple of friends. They also enjoyed the view from a balcony back at the Chateau Marmont, where they spent time on Friday. It's been an exciting weekend of Rob and Kristen sightings, but they're far from over. The two will be at the Teen Choice Awards tonight, and so will we. Check back later for live coverage from the red carpet!

Robert Pattinson Flashes a Smile Out in LA!

Robert Pattinson stepped out in LA today, and he couldn't stop from getting mobbed as he exited a Rite Aid in Hollywood. He just arrived in California yesterday and looked refreshed after a good night's sleep. Speaking of last night, he was apparently shacked up with Kristen Stewart at the Chateau Marmont. It's one of their favorite haunts, so no surprise that they checked in there. Today, Kristen headed in to put some finishing touches on Eclipse while Robert headed out on his errands, but these two are never apart for long, so we'll see where they pop up together next! For now, Friday Manjoyment - yummy Rob!

Lindsay Gives Us Three For the Price of One

It was a three-outfit day for Lindsay Lohan, who was spotted in blue bell bottoms at the Chateau Marmont and in a black hat heading back to her house with a soda. She saved her third ensemble for dinner with Samantha and a friend at Dominick's. As LL makes her rounds in LA, it turns out she doesn't have to worry about selling an apt in NYC after all - apparently she doesn't really own the place and was just crashing there in exchange for helping promote the new chi-chi building.

Ellen Celebrates 51 With Portia and Presents

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were at the Chateau Marmont in LA last night for Ellen's 51st birthday celebration. The couple looked happy to get the party started hand-in-hand as they headed into the event. In addition to getting a gift of bubble wrap from Amy Poehler yesterday, Ellen had one more special present on her big day - her TV program was nominated in the category of Outstanding Talk Show Episode at this year's GLAAD Media Awards. Ellen's no stranger to collecting accolades for her work, but receiving praise on her birthday must be an extra special treat.
