Yesterday, she was spotted heading to a meeting in this eye catching Summer frock. She teamed it with bright heels and an oversized Jimmy Choo tote looking every bit the LA starlet! Cheryl Cole arrived back in London this week after partying in the US with Duffy at the Grammys. Cheryl arrived looking casual but in style with the latest Louis Vuitton it-bag, a funky printed t-shirt and dark skinny jeans. She added colour with a simple cardigan and patent heels. Fab Blab: Don't Call Alexa Geek Chic

Alexa Chung has quickly become a style icon as her wardrobe combines vintage, High Street and designer items effortlessly. However, not everyone has fallen for her charm. Earlier this week at the Elle Style Awards, Alexa commented on Cheryl Cole's Vogue issue where she accused Alexa of acting "all superior".

She said, "I didn't really mind because to be fair I was probably a bit of an idiot when I met her, so it's cool. She's a national treasure so she can say what she likes."

Alexa hosted the Elle Style Awards and took home a gong for 'Best TV Star' but says she's fed up with being called 'geek chic'. "Yeah, I was a bit p****ed off about that actually. I don't intend to be geeky. I think it's because I wear glasses sometimes 'cos I've run out of contact lenses, we've all been there."

You voted Alexa your favourite new style icon in 2008, but she is quite down to earth about her trend role. "I think it's really flattering but it's not something I think about daily. I'm not like, 'Ah, I'm going to spark a trend.' I'm usually filming quite early on in the morning so it's more a case of things I can grab."

Beauty Byte: Cheryl Cole and L'Oreal Get Blasted For Illusory Ad

The complaints are pouring in (13 of them to be exact) to the Advertising Standards Authority about the misleading images for the newest L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 haircare products commercial and print adverts starring Cheryl Cole.

People feel that since Cheryl is wearing hair extensions in the ads, they aren't being portrayed as true. However, the complaints have so far been rejected based on the disclaimer in the commercials and the print ads that states that Cheryl's hair is "styled with some natural extensions." This, however, is not appeasing the public, as they don't feel this message is clearly portrayed.

What are your thoughts on these complaints? Do you think that L'Oreal should have been more up front about Cheryl's hair extensions so that people don't think they can have hair just like hers if they use the new Elvive Full Restore 5 range, or do you think that by including the disclaimer they have been responsible?

Tess Takes on Cheryl in the Saturday Night Style Wars

You'd be forgiven for thinking that the main style battle that takes place on a Saturday night is between X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue. Well, whilst I certainly have my eye on that one it seems that a new style battle is about to emerge between Cheryl and Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly.

Earlier this week, PopSugar UK revealed the line up for this series which includes organic beauty guru Jo Wood, Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian and Footballers Wives actress Zoe Lucker.

Tess used the launch to introduce us to her designer frocks posing in a gorgeous Alberta Ferretti one shoulder number. I caught up with her earlier this year at the Ashley Isham Autumn show where she revealed she was eyeing up Ashley's designs for the new series. She told me, "I particularly like the pink dress with a black stripe down the side and a gold belt." Whatever she decides to wear, there is sure to be a lot of glamour!

Love It or Hate It? Cheryl Cole's Relaxed Chic Ponytail

Girls Aloud had plenty to smile about this weekend as they partied in London to celebrate their current number one. X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole was working her girl-next-door brand of pretty as she left GMTV studios in London this morning, not looking worse for wear in the slightest. I much prefer Cheryl's daytime style as sometime her evening look is a little too over the top for my taste.

Cheryl went for a messy ponytail that had a distinct retro feel with plenty of volume at the crown and an Audrey Hepburn-esque parting. The caramel blonde streaks in her locks blended in nicely and a few flyaways gave the look a disheveled edge. Cheryl's dark brown eyes were extra sparkly with dark chocolate liner and plenty of mascara. Cream blush in a peony pink shade plus subtly glossy lips made for a chic, yet understated effect.

Celebrity Style: Cheryl Cole at Glasgow X Factor Auditions

The X Factor audition bus moved on to Glasgow this weekend as the judges traveled North to check out what Scotland had to offer. Cheryl was, of course, there and used the occasion to show off another of her gorgeous designer pieces. This time she wore an eye catching Alexander McQueen minidress as a top over a pair of very skinny pale jeans. She rounded off the look with a pair of patent killer platform heels.
