Just yesterday I was talking about how Chris Pine is blowing up after the big success of Star Trek, and his name is already making headlines again this morning. Pine will likely be the next actor to take on the role of Jack Ryan in the next film adaption of the popular Tom Clancy novels. A few actors have taken on the role in the past, and other names have been attached to the project before, so let's take a look at the evolution of Jack Ryan — with a few of my own suggestions for who could take on the role.

Chris Pine can thank Star Trek for a beamed-up career: the new Captain Kirk is in talks to star in The Art of Making Money.
The film is based on the true story of Art Williams, who went from petty thievery to master counterfeiter. Pine would play Williams, and there's also a possibility that DJ Caruso (who helmed Eagle Eye and Disturbia) will direct.

Chris Pine flashed a smile as he left the Broadway showing of The Royal Family on Thursday after putting in some time at the gym in NYC. Chris has been keeping busy by jumping back and forth between set and stage this Summer, and with hints of a second Star Trek coming our way, it seems he won't be slowing down any time soon.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association held its annual installation luncheon yesterday at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA. Eva Longoria took a break from hosting her own parties to attend, while the secretly-married-but-now-divorcing Emmy Rossum was lovely in white. Teen Choice Action Actress winner Jordana Brewster went to her second big event of the week, looking cheerful in her printed outfit.

Chris Pine stepped out yesterday to pick up lunch from a restaurant in LA. He was taking a break from rehearsals for Farragut North, the well-reviewed play he's starring in until the end of its run on July 26. There's no slowing down for Chris once that show wraps up, as he's also signed on to star in Unstoppable alongside Denzel Washington.

Chris Pine tried to go incognito for a 7-11 run near his home in LA yesterday. He's been taking it easy with some downtime since his worldwide tour on behalf of Star Trek wrapped, but that will soon change when he begins his run in the play Farragut North on June 24 alongside Chris Noth and Olivia Thirlby. One person who probably won't be in the audience cheering him on is Audrina Patridge, since she's busy with a very public reconciliation with an ex.

Move over Brad, Will, and George — there are some hot young actors racking up stellar movie roles and looking good doing it. Not only is this group of guys easy on the eyes, but they all seem serious about cultivating long and prosperous film careers. Some of these fellas have been kicking around Tinseltown for a while and some only recently broke out onto the scene in a major way.

Andy Samberg kept the star-studded crowd laughing the whole night at the Robert Pattinson Appreciation Awards, we mean MTV Movie Awards, in LA yesterday. After the gorgeous men and women walked the red carpet, Andy opened the show spoofing the year's biggest movies — from The Reader to Star Trek. Really though, all show long Twilight found its way into almost every segment in some way.

The MTV Movie Awards took place in LA last night, hosted by American comedian Andy Samberg, with the Twilight cast stealing the show for many reasons! Robert Pattinson chose to skip the red carpet, going straight into the venue, while his castmates posed for photos and signed autographs. Then inside they won five awards for the movie, including Breakthrough Male for Robert Pattinson, Best Kiss and Best Movie, while Kristen Stewart dropped her Best Female Performance award while accepting it.

Chris Pine was loaded with cargo as he stepped out of his apartment in LA yesterday. His schedule is just as full as his hands these days as Chris prepares to hit the stage in June, but first he'll be stopping by the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. We're so excited to bring you all the highlights, and hopefully we'll catch a glimpse of your Memorial Day shirtless most desired Chris as he treks his way down the red carpet.
